Lest I get another WSO.....

Hi all, I've been in IM for a couple years now making a few sales here and there, but I'm much more focused now and looking for a method to concentrate on and make something happen.

CPA looks mighty interesting. I got a few ebooks, free and not; but I realize that I have to stop spending and just start working.

Now it looks to me like a basic cold start of a CPA program would be very similar to an affiliate marketing campaign (kw research, set up the site, write articles, etc). However as I can see it the focus is to fill out a form; that is, having one or more affiliate links is going to detract from the form and should probably be avoided.

You can have one but you can't have both, right?

Am I on the right track here or do people really make both CPA and affiliate income from sites?

Ok so are you asking if people promote affiliate products along with CPA offers?

Some people do. Many people have full affiliate marketing product sites and just put up CPA banners.

But I think most people stay focused on CPA. Filling out an offer is easier than getting somebody to purchase something, but its still not magic. You still need to funnel people to your offer. By having too much on any page or too many directions to take, there is a serious risk of distracting the visitor. So your best bet is to focus on one thing. You want the visitor to know exactly what to do when they get on your page, you don't want them guessing.

Welcome to CPA man, its awesome as you will soon learn.
