Starting my first CPA campaign

Hello everyone, I am planning to start my first CPA campaign in a few days. I have a few questions though. I plan to start using offline techniques such as flyers under windshield wipers etc. The offer I am promoting is a gift card to a store that is visited by most if not all people in my area. I want to register a domain name but am not sure which direction to go with that. Should it be something like wonderfuloffer.com (this is not a domain I have registered, just an example) or something different. My goal is to make a little money to put back into my CPA endeavors to slowly but methodically scale up.

Also, I am wanting to promote this offer on article sites. Should I use the same domain name or register a different one?

I want to be methodical with my approach and closely monitor what works and what does not.

Lastly, is the offline offer that I am thinking of doing a bad idea? I know that there will be a lot of foot work involved, but I really don't mind. I am very excited about this new "hobby" and think it would be good to burn a little energy anyhow!

Thanks to all who view and reply.

Great idea and congrats for taking action!!

If you already selected an offer then call the CPA and contact your AM. Ask what's the "life" expectancy of the offer. If the offer has chances to be around for a a while then get a domain that includes some of the words of the offer. the cost of the domain and the hosting will be nothing compared with the money you'll make. Then do a full Iframe with analytics installed in this way you'll also be able to collect some data.

Hope this helps and best luck!

Hi Davey, this post hits very close to home to me. If I were a guessing man, I would bet you will be promoting a WalMart gift card.

When I first started in CPA, I would spend some time online and then hit the streets as you are doing offline flyer marketing. I would literally walk around for hours at apartment complexes sticking flyers in peoples doors on their cars in parking garages etc. It WAS a lot of work. I am glad I did it though because it gave me hope.

At first I was promoting a clickbank survey product and seeing a few conversions a day so making like $70. Not that much considering the work involved but it kept my motivation up.

So, good on you for taking action. Too many people are way too lazy and just want money to come pouring into their accounts. Is offline flyer marketing (doing it yourself) the most efficient marketing tactic, no, but I still highly praise you for doing it. Shows you are willing to put in the work just like I was when I started.

As a side note, be careful how you promote as offline marketing is a little more sticky. You can get in trouble for posting flyers on private property or fined for littering. Best of luck
