Trying out and getting good results from facebook+CPA - need input

I'm just starting out with cpa offers and found a product I liked from my network. At the moment I have about 400% roi and I can't be anything but happy about that. The thing is, I'm linking the facebook ad directly with the affiliate link, now this of course means I'm not going to be able to build a list from this.. But, if I direct them to a website instead isn't there a fair change that I will lose sales on the way?

  • Not if you can presell them as good as the offer converts. Ultimately if you can't compare to the offers landing page then you are going to hurt your conversions.

If anything you could try to contact the merchant for a custom landing page? Obviously don't tell them that your using it to keep a portion of their leads details. But tell them it might improve conversions etc.

The reduce in leads that go through might not be too bad if your e-mail followups get repeat customers.

Depends on the offer. For example, there is no sense in building a landing page or opt-in page for a simple zip submit offer. However, if you are promoting a higher ticket item and you could sell other products to a list you've built from it, it is worth a thought to build a landing page.

      Hey Fox,

If I were you, I would, without question, build your own landing page/blog with an opt-in box. This is the way I think of it...yes, you may decrease the number of conversions you would get by direct linking, however, if you take the time to put really awesome and helpful information on your site/blog, people will love you for it. The idea is to make the landing page content so juicy and helpful that the reader has no choice, but to opt-in to your list.

Another strategy I would try, as a way of getting people to opt-in to your list, would be to create a free report/process that guides people to your offer. An example I have used in a few other threads, is my credit report blog. I created a blog that shows people how to save money while repairing their poor credit score. I created a 100% original content report that people can download once they are opted-in.

It's a 10 step process that anyone can follow to repair their poor credit. The trick is, in the report, I made one of the first steps, "Go to myofferslandingpage.com and get your free credit score". In doing this, they convert on my offer AND I now have them as a lifetime customer on my list. And they will be the best kind of person you want on your list, a person that is RESPONSIVE to your emails. They now trust you and THAT is the key. Hope that helps though!

      Best of Luck,

I agree with others about the landing page route. Here's my reasoning:

By doing a lead capture you are building a business. You can presell them and
then direct them to the offer you have now or something else in the future.

You can always follow up and drip on them later with your email sequence and have the potential of sending multiple different offers to them.

You could also start segmenting that list to find out what other things they
        are interested in.

And, if that isn't enough - you can switch out offers if something else comes along
that looks better or the original offer is taken down or changed.

When you create a landing page to capture leads you often get less sales/conversions, unless you are really good on preselling. However, depending on your niche and earnings potential of your list this can be a good choice.

Anyway, why don't you give it a shot? Try to use a landing page and if it doesn't work simply start direct linking again.
