How to Use YSM with Email Submit?

I tried to promote a email submit offer with direct linking in Yahoo Search Marketing but the campaign was denied because it is not allowed to put ads with the sole purpose of collecting personal information. Is there any way to promote email submit in YSM without being rejected?

    Hey darwar,

In my opinion, YSM is the strictest advertising platform on the internet (even more so than Adwords). So you're going to need to get crafty when trying to promote CPA offers on their network. I would suggest creating a landing page with really good content so that you're helping people, first and foremost, and then figure out a way to promote your offer to them.

It seems like everybody is cracking down on CPA marketers so we are going to need to become more and more innovative in promoting our offers. But speaking from personal experience, YSM will pretty much reject any ad that direct links to a simple CPA offer. So try messing around with landing pages first, but you may just have to forget about Yahoo and promote with CPV or a second-tier PPC network. Hope that helps!

    Best of Luck,

I don't have a lot of experience with Yahoo!, but I have already run a few campaigns with them, so maybe I can give you some advice.

Based on my own experience, YSM is a flexible platform. You don't have to worry about so many factors as when working with AdWords. However, they do have some rules that you must follow. The one that you mentioned is one of them (AdWords also has this rule). The best way to solve this issue is to use a simple landing page. AdWords doesn't accept bridge pages, but Yahoo! does, so it shouldn't be a problem. You can use a poll or any kind of short page that will give you a high CTR (landing page -> offer).

Thanks for your advises. How should I design my landing page?If I just put a picture of something and then add a call of action like "Click here to get xxx" will this be accepted?Or should I use other ways to promote these offers?
