YouTube suspended my account because I was promoting CPA offers?

I just got my YouTube acccount suspended by YouTube. I had just uploaded two videos promoting CPA offers. Both were reuploads from YouTube. Is YouTube not CPA friendly anymore?

I had a screenshot of the CPA offer both at the beginning and end of the video and my domain was visible throughout the entire video. I had just started doing CPA so I feel very frustrated. What did I do wrong?

No, I wasn't. I was linking to my landing page which had a banner linked to the actual CPA squeeze page.

Please be careful with your accounts guys. In the last few days, the same has happened to other forum members.

I'm not shocked - they'd rather be making money advertising than have you make money with them for free. The world is changing.

    Sound Like Good Old Google!!

At it again, Its because they get paid for the ads
they want to put on you video just open a load more
accounts and really start to pis* them off LOL
No sorry dont do that only joking!

I would put arrows on the video asking them to look
at your description instead of promoting your CPA offers
on the video! And hide your Link through Bit.ly aswell

Could anyone provide any clear guidance on this as this has implications for many of us. I have lots of usernames promoting cpa offers so does this mean possible suspension for me and many others? I have never heard of Youtube doing this. I will certainly be talking to my affiliate manager about this.

I have just spoken to Maxbounty and my affiliate manager said she had seen this problem a lot lately. The Google Bast**ds are cracking down (thats my words not hers) and suggests staying away from Youtube cpa or at least doing it less vigorously.

I have an account with some very high view videos so i have taken off some of the more cpa related ones. I too am linking to my own landing page that direct to the offer page.

My advice would be not to have all your videos on one account - have multiple accounts with maybe one or 2 videos on that ultimately promote an offer. Also diversify your offers.

If my main account gets pulled it gets pulled - there is nothing more i can do

It appears Google is becoming more and more user UN-Friendly. They act so unfriendly to clients. I guarantee if I called to complain I'd get lashed out by them.

    Hi;

When you say "Both were reuploads from YouTube", were they your own videos originally?

In general, YouTube is screening videos that were downloaded and then uploaded again.

As we know, some affiliates are downloading popular (high view count) videos, modifying the videos by inserting their affiliate link and re-uploading them. Real Bluefart. Actually, this is worse than BlueFart in SEO, since in many cases, it's outright thievery. So YouTube has become very strict with all reuploads.

Um, I think a lot of people are missing the "reupload" part. Basically he downloaded someone else's video and then uploaded it as his own. Obviously you got reported or youtube recognized all you were doing is uploading duplicate content so you got suspended. Pretty simple, really.

You can still use youtube fine for cpa, if you do it without having to just rip off other's content.

Cleaning up user experience. No more crappy videos promoting CPA offers if they can help it. Your only two moves as a marketer are to improve the quality of your videos and mimick real youtubers or leave youtube and let others make the money....

What were you expecting to happen when you not only violated their ToS, violated international copyright law and then spammed them?

Honestly, when will people learn that when it comes to video marketing, it is the same as article, you MUST provide valueble content to the user.

Google wants you to Pay Per Click if your promoting CPA offers. That's why they are doing this. I wouldn't be too worried there are ways to go undetected still by there recent updates to there bots.

Hey Jay If they haven't taken down your reuploads by now then THEY AREN'T. You should have left them alone. I know because I have a bunch of reuploads they haven't touched. Seems like the reuploads your do NOW are the ones you have to watchout for.

I think its just your bad luck and reuploading of the videos, because there are still hundreds of users using YT for CPA offers. Make your own video and test again if it works or not.

Just had my YouTube account terminated. No explaination. All videos were created by Animoto with licenced images and musicand most went to a squeeze page, some went to a blog. The squeeze page offers a free ebook and the rest is in an email marketing campaign. Most of the videos are over a year old an were still generating traffic.

Does anyone know if You Tube has started cracking down. I'll be very careful before I upload new material to them and will make sure I have backups.
