Wondering If I should Even Waste My Time With Google..

I'm getting back into the PPC after a little more than a year of not using it. I wanted to run some CPA offers. But it seems like Google wont Allow alot of those kind off offers to be ran. Re-billing offers and blahh blahh etc. I just like the fact that you will get results quicker on Google (whether good or bad) Alot faster.

Should I save myself the trouble and just used Yahoo & Bing instead? Or have people found ways around Google? Hope someone can point me on the right path. It would help alot thanks

Interesting , I am also on the same position. Someone said its ok too get start with google, someone said SNS and PPV is your first choices. I think I have to stick to my plan and try out with google and at the same time , do some test on other paid traffic sources.

I'll tell you from experience man, google is a absolutely great source of traffic for cpa offers. However, they absolutely hate affiliates. Whatever you do, do not create a single page lander with just an offer lander, contact us page, about us, and privacy. They will ban the hell out of you. You need to build a "Unique visitor experience" in order to be succesfull with them. The days of a one page lander which direct links to an offer are long gone.

My problem is cranking offers with google . If Direct Linking and 1 page LP is no longer working ,what should I do for cranking as fast as I can ? how about iFrame? Do I have to creat content rich blogs for every offer at the beginning to test it out?Any time saver method or low cost method?

[QUOTE=Merlingeek;2152283]My problem is cranking offers with google . If Direct Linking and 1 page LP is no longer working ,what should I do for cranking as fast as I can ?

Build a large website, preferably 10 - 15 pages of unique content, about us, contact, all the usuals, and place links to authority sites that are not affiliates (wiki, cnn, webmd, .org, .edu, etc)

        how about iFrame?

I wouldnt even bother, as they don't like i frames from what i see

Do I have to creat content rich blogs for every offer at the beginning to test it out?

IT depends, if you find an offer that is converting in free traffic, then its probably going to convert with paid traffic. IF you see it converting, start building a much larger site with plenty of helpful articles and free information.

It's a pain in the butt, and its not guaranteeing you wont get banned, but its your best chance with google.

Any time saver method or low cost method?

        Time Saver: Outsource

        Low Cost: Do it yourself.

Hope this helps, it can be a great source of traffic, but you gotta play by the rules and hope you don't upset the gods.

I've always wondered... doesn't building a proper site with a lot of content just deflects the user from your offer? I mean they could easily get sidetracked by all the info on the site.

Not really. Just make your content so valuable and appealing that they want to read it all.

If I can pull some good content from article directory by using some WP plugins and without using any unique content , just build my WP website instantly and start to crank?

You could simply buy a domain relating to your CPA offer and then use domain forwarding with masking... you don't need hosting for an iframe so very cheap. And i don't think google have a problem with this.

In terms of google don't use the search function! Keep away from having your CPA campaigns in the main search engine results.

Instead keep to the content network. You can use banner/picture ads as well as text ads (banner ads have higher conversion rates).

You can bid as low as you want sometimes as low as 1 or 2 cents. From what I hear this way of advertising is meant to be back to how adwords was in 2001/2.

Also if you have a good landing page get involved with PPV/CPV! I direct link when I'm being lazy and get 2% conversions on offers. So a good landing page could really boost conversions very quickly!

So Domain masking is the only way to quickly crank offers with google

As long as they are legit offers and not in any way misleading etc

Also another quick suggestion for getting your ad approved is make sure google isn't mentioned anywhere on the site or in the ad you are promoting. Google are pretty protective over their name...

            Hope this helps

I was promoting a very legitimate offer where the terms were clearly stated on the landing page. No rebill, no forced continuity, nothing. They still banned it, saying it was a bridge page.

By definition, a bridge page is any page where the sole purpose is to drive traffic to another page (site). What is an affiliate site?

An affiliate (at least the type of affiliate site that Googles wants) is a real website, with content pages, homepage, contact and about page, resources section, privacy policy, disclaimer, etc... Also, some SEO is good, nothing complex, just a few backlinks from social bookmarking sites and article directories.

A bridge page is a page that has the sole purpose of taking the visitor to another site, and Google doesn't allow it, because they want to offer useful information and a nice experience to their users.

    Hey iamx,

I think you should give it a go but make sure you to the proper research and tracking. Track every little thing and test. I think every says PPC is hard just because they don't make money from it. Trust me if you wanna move to PPV its the same thing.

So if you don't wanna lose any money. Don't do any paid traffic and stick to free traffic. In my opinion you have to spend money to make money and sometime not all that money is made back right away.Instead you'll learn from your mistakes and end up hitting the jackpot.

If you buy every PPC or PPV eBook its not gonna benefit you till you start doing it yourself. Plus if some guy is making $$$$ why would he sell his method?

When I first started this I used 7search it was a hell of a lot cheaper then Google and they let you put almost anything up there. I stopped using it cause I had no clue on how to run a good campaign but if i did they would be the one getting my money. And your ad goes up right then and there no waiting. Still don't know how there doing but I would just check them out for an alternative.

I'm sorry, people bash on Google, but it really is a power house traffic source when you take in account speed of use, self serve capability, quick optimization of campaigns, transparency of data, responsive traffic, etc.

But I will say, don't try to "get around" google. If you're going to use them, lead your visitor down a longer path. A lot of times this will increase conversion rates because a lot of the time, if you can get the visitor to take more actions and say yes more often (fill out a quiz, register, etc) they will be more likely to convert. Especially for content based advertising where they aren't necessarily looking for the solution you're providing. With CPA offers I wouldn't suggest using Googles Conversion Pixel to track.

If you guys are having problems with building a content site to appease google, stop looking at your cpa or affiliate business as 1 single offer after another. What verticals are most CPA offers in?

    - money niches
    - financial assistance niches
    - education niches
    - health niches
    - dating/relationships
    - entertainment niches (quizzes, mobile offers, etc)

A longer term thing would be to get a magazine blog style thing made in each one of these niches. There are people on this and other forums that will build a blog with 10 articles for $37. If you had a blog with original content in these larger verticals, and if you had some light content creation being done over time with some backlinking, then you could build the cpa offers into the content in TONS of different ways. And you'd always have a site that is somewhat relevant for each niche. People would trust it more too. The good thing about this strategy is if you get enough comments and such going on and enough organic traffic, you start to build a traffic source in a way. Very cool.

But outside of that, yes there is a world of traffic out there. POF is pretty affiliate friendly but it's CPM bidding which can be tough if you're just starting out. Facebook I find far more lenient than Google and they have a lot of volume. Ad approvals are actually easy if you read the terms well, and aren't pushing weight loss stuff for the most part.

Those are just the obvious ones outside of G/Y/M. There are many more, but people have made fortunes on these platforms.

Quit thinking of this as a smash and grab. It's tempting because that's how the money flows sometime. But then you're just learning slick techniques and not marketing principles.

Sorry I rambled a bit there.

Yup! Google still has alot potential and power behind it as a marketing tool, in addition to that you should take the techniques you know about advertising on google and transfer that over into BING and YAHOO as well. Bing although fairly new in terms of search engine age is quickly becoming a great source of traffic.

Keep in mind all newer PC being sold these days with Windows 7 and newer versions of IE (Web Noobs Choice of Browser) are pre-loaded with Bing as the default search engine.

If you are promoting any of the offer by directly linking your ad to the sales page (not your own site or your site with very low content), Google will ensure that you will not be able to advertise by decreasing your quality score. Hope that helps.
