Not really. But I wouldn't say that you need to do that at all.

I'd say create something better than the landing page and if you ask me I can see landing pages like the following doing better than most.

You can also set the fields to autofill the related CPA offer and collect the details at the same time so you get paid for first submit and can market for more returns via email.

I think what he meant was that we should try to copy the Offer's(not landing page which is ours) page to the Landing Page so it "feels" the same.
      Personally i do that alot.
Why change the "atmosphere",if you change it who knows how the buyer would feel.

I think that it's relative. I use to do it when I'm promoting low cost offers, because people use to spend little time on my landing page and go to the offer's page quickly. Sometimes they don't even know that they are about to go to another site, so I prefer to make the experience as smooth as possible.

However, if you are promoting a free trial or something more expensive that requires more involvment with the customer I don't think that it's always necessary.

EDIT: About the images and other things that have copyright, you don't need to use them. Copying the style of the offer's page doesn't mean copying the whole page. Just use the same color scheme, dimensions, font, etc...
