Why my application is declined automatically on Commission Junction!

Hi, Whenever I choose a program and click on 'Apply Program' I get this message automatically.

"Your application has been declined by this advertiser for one or more reasons. If you have a question please contact the advertiser through advertisers detail page within the account manager."

Why? Please help!

    When you initially applied to CJ you will have filled in a "profile" with things like where in the world you are, how you intend to promote and how many visitors your website gets (can't remember exactly what - it has been a while!)

    Many vendors have automatic criteria - such as must be in USA, must have at least 10K visitors per minute etc.

    You are being automatically declined because your profile does not fit what they are looking for.

    Everytime something like that happens and I really want to promote that product, I will contact the affiliate manager for that company. Most of the time it is because you aren't in the US, and if you explain that you are targetting the US market, they usually will accept you. At least I only had one rejection after that and I have done it a few times.

    It is too bad that all affiliate network do not educate merchants that what they are filter out is just where the site owner is living, not where the website traffic is targeting to.

    e.g.
    A US person can have a Japanese targeting website.

    Can CJ advertiser interface's location filtering offer
    website traffic targeting in addition to affiliate's physical address.
