Question about CPA marketing - Do you all do this?

I didn't do yet ....
But I have learnt that tracking is very important in order to know which campaign works ...and for those working campaigns, which one works more in order to concentrate your effort and budget on the working ones and get rid of campaigns that just take money from you without benefits .

Tracking is important for efficiency sake. Even with free traffic, we all want to optimize our efforts and the only way to do that is to track our efforts and the results of our efforts.

Do some people hit it big with a PPC campaign without tracking, yes. But some people win the lottery as well. I have had campaigns that did quite well right from the start and even though I had tracking in place, they did well with no optimization done (so its like not having tracking).

If you are doing PPC or paid traffic, tracking is more important because there is downside risk. With free traffic, you can set up 1 million videos if you are doing video marketing for example, and do well without knowing exactly which video is producing the results.



Of course, tracking is the way to go and its easier than ever to do.


Remember, we all have a set amount of time we can put into CPA...mine as well use it efficiently and effectively

I make a KILLING from promoting CPA offers via direct linking and the extent that I track my progress is by tracking each individual article's views and clickthroughs as well as the conversion rate of each offer.

This can all be done manually within your article directory account(s) and your CPA network reports page... In case you didn't want to use a software, etc.

Tracking is essential in this business. You need to know where your money is coming from, what's profitable and what's not. I work with PPC and half of my campaigns would have never become profitable without Prosper202.

I don't know what traffic source your are using, but tracking shouldn't be a very hard task and you don't need to spend money on expensive softwares in order to monitor your sites.
