 Hello Fellow Warriors,

I studied Alen Sultanic's Commission Formula (excellent affiliate marketing course) and I'd REALLY like to supplement my income thru CPA with PPV advertising but I don't have a $1000-$2000 test budget (which would exclude me from TrafficVance for the time being)...heck I don't even have half the test budget I just mentioned so as a newbie what advise would you give me?

Personally I would work on building a larger budget first.

You could try the smaller PPV networks like LeadImpact or MediaTraffic but without a proper budget you are setting yourself up for failure.

Build a budget - through whatever means you can - writing articles for others, free traffic methods, saving up money from your job.

I always tell affiliates getting into PPV to prepare to have at least $2000 available to get moving.

You would need to focus on having leverage - by leverage (you need to be able to have data - irrelevant of profitable or not) to be able to setup a profitable campaign.

There for a tight budget might mean you loose $$, but with a bit more data (testing), you could have discovered a winning campaign.

Focus on free traffic methods - This forum and the net is full of valuable info.

Once you have a good budget - Start focusing on media buying.

Have a strategic plan - focus on your plan - and PLEASE PLEASE stick to you plan - This is where most affiliates fail - It does not work, well then they quit or try something else (trying something else is good - but dont quit)

    All the best of luck.

If you have a very tight budget ...

First , Then I recommend that you ask you affiliate manager for CPA offers which are not widely exposed .

Then bid on a small and highly targeted URLs.

    Hope it helps.

Before starting PPV, we should start it from free methods as submitting article to articlebase. In that article directory, we can put CPA offers. This is a good starting point. When you collect money, start PPC with adwords. Then you can earn around $x,xxx. In that time, you can consider PPV with a good budget.

Mike was spot on as usual, start small with PPV. Don't believe any training course which tell you to generate HUGE keyword lists right from the beginning.

I started this way and VERY quickly realized I had lost most of my budget which was similar to yours, even smaller!

After a fast learning curve with PPV, I think for newbies to PPV it is best to setup Tracking202 or something similar right from the word go and track everything possible.

Start with only a few url's and slooowly add to them, as you see profitable results. I got lots of sales, but ran at a loss for most of them, simply because I didn't setup the tracking and de-activate the bad urls and keywords.

Highly targeted url's and simple submits and free downloads are the best way to start off.

Once you can generate a profit each month, then start playing with your own landing pages for the $40 offers.

      Good Luck

1.Start with the ppv networks that don't require you breaking the bank before you run a campaign

    2. Contact your AM for the best converting offers on your CPA network.
    3. Talk to your campaign manager on the ppv networks for what kind of offers convert well on their network.

    4. Merge the result of 3 with 2, if there's a correlation, start off with that.
    5. Never ever guess nor put sentiment into running your campaigns. Note: the offer that you personally like may not convert so well on the ppv network of your choice. So do your due diligence by contacting your Affiliate manager on both networks(CPA and PPV) and know what works before you begin running your campaign.

    Hope this helps
