ringtone links in Youtube description...

It's not working for me, and I'm wondering if I need to insert code, or if the ringtone program isn't a good one. It's Flycell which I heard converts quite well so I'm wondering why no one is clicking, I've had over 500 Youtube views.

I put the affiliate link straight in the description, so what they are seeing is
MY SALES line on the ringtone..etc
"http://www...." (not using quotes though)

and then this "http://www...." that is the link. Do people know to click on this (it's really small) or do I need a code instead?

Should I put this instead in? What is the coding for affiliate linnks in the youtube ?

Unfortunately you can't put any kind of html code in the description. The best you can do is place the "http" in the beginning of the description, like you mentioned, and be very obvious in your video about where to go. If you can convince people badly enough that they need to come to your site after the video, they will get there.

hehe I've been experimenting with ringtones / youtube only with a slightly different twist, I actually give away iphone ringtones on my site.

I created 17 short YT videos, each with a different ringtone in them against a placeholder image, big arrows and url in the video, url with offer of more free ringtones in the right sidebar text.... posted the videos as responses to some videos that were getting mega traffic.... ... ... let's see *checks google analytics & YT* have had about 1250 views total on the vids in 2 weeks, 73 clickthroughs to my ringtone site, s'probably made about $2 .. hardly worthwhile for a day's work!!
I am guessing that 73 clickthroughs from 1250 video views (5.8%) is pretty good CTR for youtube (can anyone give an opinion on this?) but I was hoping 4 a lot more traffic.
Possible suggestions for improving this would be experimenting with different placeholder images...

Whoa that is alot of work for small return.. why only $2.. I'm with ringtone offers that pay $18 / signup..

As for the OP.. you cant use any HTML in YouTube you can only redirect traffic with text.. atleast that my experience..shame Google / YouTube dont allow PPC ads on YouTube like the search engines as they are trying to make money right?
