Hello, i'm kind of new to the CPA scene. I wanted to start small and got myself in a couple of CPA networks. I wanted to try Facebook advertising out, so I did. I've tried every method of trying to create a facebook ad but to no avail each and every single ad I create gets disapproved. Any helpful tips would be nice! Thanks

Getting Facebook ads approved can be a lottery and can sometime even come down to the individual approving them - one person will allow it, the next may deny it.

My number 1 suggestions would be to read the advertising guidelines 10 times and really understand what you can and can't do. Also, try emailing them after an ad is disapproved and ask exactly why. They aren't like Google, a real person will usually respond to you with some info.

    Some broad tips:
    • Don't insult the users eg "Are you fat?", "Need to shed some kilos?"
    • Don't point out their interests if you have targeted them eg "Are you into Beyonce?", "Do you like dancing?"
    • Don't use any provocative images. Too much skin showing will get you denied
    • Don't Capitalize Every Word Like An Adwords Ad or use FREE!!. You have to use proper sentence structure, spelling and grammar
    • Use the correct image size
    • Certain offers such as re-bills won't get through. Use a lander and a squeeze
    • Dating offers have their own set of restrictions, check them out in the advertising guide.
Hope some of that helps. But as I said if you really want to know, send 'em an email.

    Cheers

this happens all the times, keep in mind that atleast 60% of ads you create will get disapproved, and the ads which get disapproved are the ones that can make money.

The trick is to KEEP SUBMITTING ads. One of them eventually gets through.

On a sidenote ... run FB ads OUTSIDE business hours! You can bid 1/3 and still get the same impressions. Works like a charm

Any questions just let me know

When you keep submitting ads make sure you do it by the rules like be careful of which words you capitalize make sure they are at the start of the sentence. They are very picky about how the ad is laid out. I do agree though, sometimes you just get rejected and can't figure out why.

      No worries

As I said earlier, if you really believe your ads are within the guidlines and you still get rejected, hit them up with an email.

Yesterday I had 15 of 30 adds rejected for a particularly strict vertical. I knew something was fishy as I follow the guidelines to the letter and there really wasn't that much difference between the rejects and the approved ads.

I sent them a message through the system and within 2 hours, all ads approved. Would love to get that same service from Adwords!!

      Cheers

For Facebook I like to go for an opt-in where appropriate. However, they typically won't allow you to use a downloadable (ex: report) for the optin bait, so, you'll want to setup a squeeze page to redirect to the content immediately afterwards.

Another good way is if you already have a content site in that vertical, use Awebers floating optin box so its not just a squeeze page. Yes, your optin rate will be a bit lower but approval is much easier.

Like Filter said, you really need to know their ad policies. As much as people get angry about their ad approvals, I've found that more often than not, sticking to their ad policies very strictly will get you approved always. I know get 300 of 300 ads approved the majority of the time.

Keep chugging away, Facebook is one of the quickest platforms to get profitable. Keeping it that way is another matter, get used to always split testing ads. Again this is another reason why I like the optin. Most FB users are in info/entertainment mode, so if you're pitching offers that don't fall within the entertainment space, it's good to follow up with them later. Lots of testing needed, but can definitely be lucrative. It's a huge traffic source.
