In An Emergency Could You Make Money Fast?

If you had your back against the wall financially and needed to make some money urgently how would you do it?

Some unforeseen medical bills have pushed me into this position and was just wondering what some pros would do in this situation.

Without the capital/money to test/execute I personally don't think so

    Depends how much you need.

My guess is that you can do some bum marketing and get up to a decent amount pretty easily.

Bum marketing isnt a good business strategy but its a good way to make some quick cash. You you need to make a fwe grand very quickly without any experience, it will be a tough proposition.

Maybe offer your services. Write articles or something and charge less than anybody else, then work your butt off to get the volume. Desperate times call for desperate measures but I would urge you not to travel to the dark side, which has a lot more make money quick methods (despite many being unethical and deceptive).

Hope all works out buddy and hit me up if you have any other questions!

Definitely offer a service. What can you do well, that others needs help with?

Of course, there are other ways:

    - sell some of your stuff on ebay
    - do some lawn mowing, window washing, garden weeding, etc. you get the point.
    - get a part time job on top of your current one.
    - borrow form family or friends
    etc.

    Good luck.

This is the best investment I have seen in ages - For just $1.00 you can get 4 coaching sessions - And the coaching is from internet marketing legend Chris Record.

I could make money a lot faster if I *had* to make it.

It's not really a question of how hard it is to make money online - it's simply that I would work HARDER if my back was against the wall.

That's why I always create new projects - to keep pushing myself.

Sit down and think - you'll come up with plenty of ideas - your mind works harder when it is forced to.

It depends on how much money you need in how much time.

PPC, PPV and media buys require an investment.

SEO, article marketing and other traffic sources take time to produce results.

If I needed money fast and had no capital to invest I would work as a freelance web designer again. It would make me some decent cash pretty fast.

So if you can work as a freelancer (writer, designer, programmer, etc... anything) I think that this would be the best alternative.

Here's a good strategy that I think would help anybody get $100-$250 a day.

Week 1: Research how to do wordpress. Make many fake sites to just experiment with widgets, themes, etc. You can pretty much dominate WP if you take a whoel week of constant study.

Week 2: Keep studying and find some great templates. There are free ones out there and paid. Find and bookmark a bunch of great ones related to building a company web site as opposed to a pure blog.

    Week 3 and on:

This is the MONEY-MAKER. This is also the hard work. Look in your yellow pages or look in some online directory of businesses and start calling different companies offering to build them a site for $50 and either include a domain for them or charge an extra $10 for domain. You can get a reseller account for cheap to host all your web sites, or charge them extra $5 a month or something for hosting. To keep it simple, lets say you tell them you will build a whole site for a total one time fee of $60.

If you call no less than 100 businesses a day, you can probably get 4 or 5 hits for a price this cheap. With wordpress and a set theme already, it wont take more than 2-3 hours to build any of the sites.

This is a very easy way to earn a hundred or more a day. Its VERY doable if you dont mind picking up the phone.

Desperate times call for getting out of your comfort zone sometimes though.

    Get it done!

Wow! That's ambitious! And would probably take a certain amount of balls. But yeah, that would work! Probably better than you think.

You could also hit up Craigslist and search for business owners that way too. I know a guy who made around $900 outsourcing workers to business owners, and he did it in a day!

And if they don't want to buy hosting from you, you can always give them a hostgator affiliate link

I feel like I could make emergency money.

For one, if you have an existing list, be sure to market to it (I often neglect my lists because I'm too busy with other things).

Personally, I would offer a WSO. I've never done one before, but it's a 20 dollar investment for a potential big return. It demands that you have special knowledge, or that you can provide a good service.

Yep, you can make just as much through the affiliate commission as the front end web development! Some people build sites for $1 just to make money on the backend hosting commission :p!

Perhaps do a special offer for different bundles of unique articles such as

      5 articles for $20
      7 articles for $28
      10 articles for $35

Price it cheap and then work your butt off writing good articles. Can probably get a lot of good bum money there! Not fun to do but sometimes you need to not have fun to make some money!

You are absolutely correct. Outsource the prospect contact information list. Outsource the sales calls. Outsource the site development.

Three different outsourcers and nobody knows your strategy. You just sit back, facilitate the process and make some good money.

You must remember that you need to do the work first and find a system that works before you start outsourcing. Find a sales script etc!

    Here are a few ideas:

    1. Get a loan from friends or family
    2. Push a product to your list (assuming you have one)
    3. Sell your services
    4. Sell one or more of your sites
    5. Bum marketing on hot trends and topics
    6. Write a WSO
    7. Sell links on homepages with good PR (presuming you have sites with decent PR)

        Alright Kenster...

Could you possibly PM me a copy of your sales script for selling "Cheap Websites" in a pinch?

I created a website for this venture as I read it in a WSO I recently purchased....

Funny thing is.... the WSO was not related to offline biz marketing. But the idea sparked a greater idea of how I could sell websites for $100 up to 5 pages as a loss leader. Putting instant cash in my pocket to cover the bills and giving me some extra dough to do CPA marketing with....

There is the thought that one could charge $15 monthly for hosting or 1year up front for $120 maybe even $99. Adding to revenue and also establishing a relationship that under promises and over delivers. Then I can pitch SEO, Email Marketing, PPC management, Video Marketing and other Media services.

The end result being... I $99 website that I offered can turn into $500 up to $2500 a month in residual income.....

        HMMMMM...............

        Gotta love this forum

Another thought.... This TOTALLY MAKES SENSE!!

I used to manage an AAMCO Transmissions and Complete Total Care Center....

We did oil changes for $20.00 to get people in the door...

Think about your local community... everyone does cheap oil changes.

The average car coming in for a $20 oil change spent $300+.

Just because the principle of a marketing idea doesn't come from the internet or isn't inside your usual "box" does not mean traditional and timeless methods won't continue to work...

This is exactly the thoughts that should be running through your head. You charge a very modest fee for the actual site. You keep it modest in order to get the sales up front...remember you need "emergency cash". You give a high discount if people prepay for the whole year because again, you need the emergency cash.

You make the site for them. Of course in your sales copy, you say all the benefits you will be providing...

          -professional site
          -branding opportunity for the company
-free "standard" seo of the site
          -free google listing
-free animoto video if you wish (now you can say free video marketing)

This is all on the front end to make the initial sale. Keep everything minimal and inexpensive here to make the sale. This in itself is a very viable business if you use the power of numbers.

Then on the backend is all upsell potential. When your business sees results and likes their sites and you show them the number of visitors they are getting and number of potential sales they can be making with the visitors, then you pitch the upsells.

          -email autoresponder strategy implementation
-more in depth SEO on the site inclusing backlinks etc
          -monthly hosting charges
-money to make revisions when needed

Of course you need to sell each point, but this is all upsell potential that can turn your $120 per site per year into $1,000 per site per year. Do this for 100 businesses. There are many millions of businesses out there willing to do this....go find them!

I mean its up to you. You can include the domain in the $60 and hit them up for another $10 every year to maintain it. This is keeping things really simple and cheap so you can get money fast...or in an emergency as the OP suggested.

I personally would set it up by telling them its a monthly payment of $15 a month or whatever and of course they can pay for the whole year for a slight discount. Its almost a recurring billing so you always make money into the future assuming they keep the site which they most likely will.

Your customers will be more than pleased to pay the extra $10 a year for domain renewal for the measly $60 site.

Its a very quick and easy way to make some good money. I have a similar test in the works right now, completely outsourced, and I will let you guys know the outcome!

Not to take away from this thread at all, but Kenster you have out done yourself once again. You can also add SEO services free of charge to entice the customer a little more. I've actually been talking with someone who is doing this already to set up a partnership. Also, if you build your own website about your services you can also use PPC and other forms of advertising to get your name out there and not even have to worry about picking up the phone to make cold calls. That way the leads that you get will be laser targeted and easier to close.

This is a great idea for long term sustainable income.

Yes, I could, but that's because I have several year's worth of IM assets, including things like lists, sites, reports, etc. Tapping some of the unused potential in these things could pick me up a few extra grand easily, I think.

If you don't have these things at your disposal, I'd start with offering services, as they require the fewest barriers to entry. If you're good at writing, offer to write articles or web copy. If you're good at SEO, market those services for cheap. If you know how to set up websites, the Wordpress/local business plan described above is great.

The services you can offer don't even have to be web-based. Surely you know someone who needs a computer set up, a lawn mowed, groceries delivered - so on and so forth. You just have to think creatively and then get out and do it!

If your goal is to take care of the medical bills, then you should be able to talk to the provider and work out a plan that will benefit you..

Sure you may still need some cash, but most likely not as much or not that soon...

On the other hand if you want to make quick cash for other reasons, then, most of the recommendations here will work.
