Anyone with experience with OFFLINE lead gen.?

Hello,

I just recently did some SEO consulting for a client in the reverse mortgage field and so far she is very happy with the SERP results I got her. She is getting good organic and PPC results so far.

Now I'm thinking of doing my own financial services related web site (SEO'd to the max of course) and I want to sell the leads directly to the client; no CPA middleman involved. I would have to probably work the phone to find people to sell the leads to and then negotiate something with them.

Has anyone here done anything like this? If so, I'd like to know how it worked out for you. I have several ideas where this could be used. Thanks

I haven't done it myself, but I've read quite a bit about it in the War Room. There are a bunch of free courses on that exact topic.

I could see how this could be very profitable if you are decent as building landing pages or if you know where to get them for a low cost (like me ). Not all IMer's would like this either because in involves sales and over the phone stuff so you probably wouldn't have much competition in your area. If you ever want to throw around some ideas, pm me and I would be up for that. I've been looking into offline stuff more myself because I am too much of a ppl person to stay strictly online.

Sean, you are absolutely correct. Its a little weird (perhaps not now that I think about it) how many internet marketing folk dont have the personalities for many of the duties that offline tactics require...but then again, maybe thats what pushes a lot of people with these personalities to the online sphere.

Me personally, I am a people person and found the internet quite a 'lonely' place at first.

You can get over $400 per lead for certain types of legal leads like recalls of drugs and medical devices. You could build a site for asbestos victims and sell the leads off too. The barrier of entry for most folks are the phone calls to the law firms and setting up those relationships.

Shoot me a PM , I have 9 years experience in the mortgage field and know where the market is to sell these leads.
I have done everything from boiler room calling to portifiolo management for large brokerage houses.
Every market needs leads and if you have decent mortgage leads they can be worth a lot.

To be honest bro, offline is MUCH different than online. Yes, there are only a limited number of ways to promote cpa offers offline, but you can put so many twists to these methods that it makes for an almost infinite number of ways you can get leads offline. It's very obvious what the online methods are and it's easy to emulate them, but, I will be honest, i'm not about to give away my offline method, and neither will anyone actually making money with CPA, and if they do they're lying or not giving it all to you. I can tell you that if you have an imagination you can do quite well by just riding around and asking yourself "where can i place my ads/offers where there will be people who are interested in what I have?"

Offline is very similar yet very different to the online world. The same marketing theories online apply to offline as well and to any type of marketing. Copywriting, Traffic, Tracking, Split Testing, etc....these will all be a very similar process to doing an onlin campaign.

You need to be just as creative in the online space as the offline space. Whether you are doing postcard/flyer marketing, billboards, newspapers, offline consulting, advertising blimps, whatever...you will need a good targeted message.

Is there more opportunity offline that online?

I would say no, there is equal opportunity in both. I think the online space is much larger and easier to "hit the jackpot" just because of the ease of getting absolutely massive traffic. But then you must consider that most CPA marketers work online so unless you are creative and come up with your own twist or own untapped web property, there will be much more competition as well.

Like TJ said, for certain offline methods that are scalable, you will have a tough time finding people to reveal exactly what they are doing to hit big numbers offline. However, certain methods are much harder to scale and thus it wont hurt the creator to reveal what he/she is doing in these circumstances. For example, many offline campaigns are geo restricted so William may be more willing to reveal a method that only works in Brazil, knowing very few Warrior CPAers are Brazilian!

So true Ken. Now, I'll be honest here. If there's a method that I know can easily make someone very good money and it is scalable somewhat, then I will gladly give it away. What I have found is that at least for me, the best thing to do is pick one method and stick to it. For example I have a very, very unique offline method that is doing so good it's just astounding, and, the potential is endless. The amount of money I can make in one day with this method trumps everything else, so i'd be stupid to try and stick with other things when I could put that time back into what I know is going to make the most money. I have some offline methods that honestly do extremely well, some I would say are pretty easy to make 5K a week with, and more can be made. The good thing about these methods is that it doesn't take as much knowledge as PPC, PPV, etc. I actually thought about selling a WSO on this and donating the proceeds to this little girl in my area who has a rare kind of cancer. I only saw one guy, I think Moises, who wrote a WSO for donation purposes. I think maybe if we could get together me and Ken, and write a WSO it could go to some good use, and the money could go straight into her account so nobody thinks anything fishy's going on!! What do you think?

I think this is a very good opportunity. The city where I live here in Brazil has about 200K inhabitants and I have already considered doing this. The payouts are certainly lower, but the competiton is extremely easy to beat. Once I created a project considering only Real Estate companies and it was possible to easily make $5K+ a month only with this niche. I assume that in the US it's possible to make even more, so no doubt that this is a good idea.

For people using offline methods to promote CPA offers are you ever concerned that if people take you up on your offer in a particular area that the advertiser will "scrub" the leads because they're suspicious that the leads are all coming from the same particular geographic location?

This is why its always good to run by your affiliate manager if you intend to do any volume with offline. Many networks will outright say no because they cant monitor the traffic and there arent footprints they cant trace, but other will be completely fine, particularly if you've worked with an affiliate manager for any length of time.

In short, yes, that is a very real concern when doing anything offline!
