Facebook Ad Dayparting, CTR, and Banner Blindness?

I'm curious what other people's experiences are with Facebook ad dayparting, CTR, and banner blindness?

The past two Fridays I've run a handful of ads that have had a reasonable CTR (0.16% this past Friday for example). I only ran them 10k impressions for an audience of around 100k users.

Then for the past two Fridays I made a few variations of the best performing ad (including the original ad as well) and tried running them again on Saturday. I get no clicks at all for the same number of impressions?

I don't think I'm running into banner blindness. I have been testing this offer from various angles so I suppose it's possible most people have seen at least one impression of my offer in some form or another.

It seems though, my limited data suggests my offer sells on Friday but not Saturday. Anybody else out there having this extreme of an issue with dayparting... or weekparting?

Overall I'd be curious to hear how dayparting/weekparting has effected other people? And also at what point people are going banner blind?

Yes, all of those things play a big role in campaign success, particularly the day/time you are running your ads. Some of my campaigns are great only on weekends, others get the best results on weekdays before 3pm.

You just need to keep testing and get to know your market by analyzing the data. I can tell you though with only 10k impressions you don't have enough data. The good ad could have been a fluke or vice versa.

100k demo is pretty small, but they shouldn't have been burned out by your ad that fast (unless you copied it from someone else who has already killed the demo).

Thanks Ryan. This is a completely original campaign so I should be ok in that regard.

I agree 10k impressions is hardly enough for good data. I was just surprised to see CTR go from 0.16% to 0% based on the day. I'll keep testing to see if I can get repeatability but unfortunately Friday only comes around once a week :-)

I'll test the rest of the weekdays to gather some more data in the mean time, maybe weekends just aren't good for my offer...

Yeah, could be but to early to tell. For the most part marketing online generally converts the best during middle if the day on weekdays - generally speaking. But not always the case. Keep testing and you'll eventually figure out who's converting , at what time, and at the highest LTV.

Yeah, I think I just didn't have a good enough sample size for the data to be useful.

I ran it again today and only got 0.06% CTR. I'm new at this but I do have a couple ads that got up to 0.09% today. My CTR does seem to be improving each week as I optimize my ads and get better at creating them.

Moral of the story is you can't trust the data unless you have quite a few clicks and those clicks are spread out over a period of time.

I'm hoping I can stabilize my CTR soon so I can finish polishing my landing pages and hopefully start converting at a profitable rate.
