Fan Sites?

I would like your opinions on the best ways to monetize a fan site?

I have a fan site based around a popular US tv show. The person in question is male, good looking (heartthrob I guess you could say) and the audience is actually pretty widespread.

The website has a bounce rate of about 35%, 3k visits a month and about 9k page views.

Adsense probably looks bad and i think would turn people off, plus if I could target it properly then I'd be much more likely to convert with cpa offers..

I was thinking of selling it but wanted to know people thoughts on this area first.

Have you implemented any CPA strategy yet?

Also, I would make sure I was setting up a squeeze of some sort to capture your visitors...are you doing this?

Added a form earlier, so I am now yes.

I have not implemented any advertising really, no banners or anything.

First, I would capture leads. Then, I would start testing some offers (using banners, probably) based on the demographics of the site. Just get your demographics and contact your affiliate manager to get some offers that fit your audience. Split-test and find out what converts.

I'd suggest using a content gateway on picture pages and such, I've had a bunch of success with that. Much more money than adsense garbage.
