n00b CPA question regarding peerfly

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if there is a difference between marketing using social PPC and marketing using social PPM on peerfly. What i mean is, in the allowable marketing methods in peerfly it says "Social PPC"

Peerfly in their own words:

"Social PPC - Marketing via pay per click though social channels like Facebook, Myspace"

I want to promote an offer using CPM option in facebook and was wondering if I can do this or am i only limited to CPC?

Sorry if this is such a n00b question, Im just starting out with CPA and don't wanna get banned for doing something Im not sure of. I've already addressed the question to my AM but it's after working hours now and I hoped maybe some of the warriors can help.

Thanks Guys

Yeah, you can use CPM. They won't know the difference anyway except which social media platform you are using. I'm not sure why they label it "Social PPC," but either way you are sending them quality traffic.

Don't worry about it, you can use CPM as well. "Social PPC" actually means paid social traffic, so it includes the content network, PoF, FB (both CPC and CPM) and other similar ad platforms.

actually how does the affiliate managers know you are using a paid social traffic for social ppc and not facebook fan page or groups to drive free traffic to the cpa offers? is there a way for these affiliate networks to check, just curious?

Sometimes, it can be not possible to know exactly how you are getting traffic. However, if the advertiser states that affiliates shouldn't use a specific traffic source he has a good reason to do it. Most of the times, traffic from certain traffic sources are not being profitable at the back end and the advertiser needs to stop working with them. If you send traffic using those traffic sources the advertiser will probably get a poor lead quality and will complain with the network.

So it's better you use only the traffic sources that are allowed by the advertiser.
