Hey, can you tell me if you use this technique to your bring traffic to your CPA offer ?
I saw somewhere that this technique is dead...is it right ?
#poll technique

Its not dead, you just cant do it as a long term strategy as CPA offers tend to get scrubbed.

it really depends on your traffic source, i wouldn't dare bother polls with google anymore

But with yahoo or bing, is it still working? Is this method considered as an incentive one?

It can still work, just need to sneak it through.. honestly the time you spend sneaking it through you could be developing strengths in other areas..

so in short - you can still make money, but it is probably not worth the hassel..

It still works very well especially the with popular names like who looks better this person or that person, who has better abs, and so on, get creative and use whats popular and you'll have alot of good response to your poll method.

On facebook you'll spend about $350 for traffic but you'll make about $650 or more back in a day if done right.

On pulse360 you can still easily have $1000+ days with little ad spend.

Heres what I do on pulse360 I target a sports site then I run polls with popular athletes names and it's like money in the bank.

Poll methods really aren't that hard, just use your head and you don't even need google traffic for this.

        Take Care,
        Reid

Do you need to buy a domain to do the poll method? Ive bought a number of domains recently so i don't want to spend anymore buying more for now.

Could you just use free webhosting then put the poll landing page on there.

@Reid Stevens what kind of offers do you promote with the poll method, do you use this free Ipad, Ipod offers? And in the landing page you just put the question and ask the visitor to fill his email on the following page and then you make the redirect to the offer page? Isn't this considered incentive?
One network that I use is a simple "Give me your thoughts and be registered to win a vacation package for 2" They put in name and email then a couple other pages and I get paid $3.60 per submit.

When I promote the in the Sports Niche my CPA Network has a register for a trip to the Superbowl, NBA Playoffs, MLB All Star Game depends what time of year it is the offer rotates for the season, that one pays a little better.

People get sick of the register and win free Ipad, Ipad, Iphone, Droid, you name it.

You have to find Networks that have multiple offers that are a little different than what people see, and go with that, because the same old offers get "old".

There is some interesting replies here, so to resume poll technique its not dead we just have to be creative "think out of the box" and make some good landing pages to make people act quick.

One question, if we make a poll about a pop star or something and offer a free ipad, we do not really bring good leads to our network right ? So what happens next when the network discover our methods and do not agree with that?

              I hope you understand me.

Yeah, since i'm a newbie, i'd like to know which one the best traffic source for a beginner like me? i have uploaded one landing page using "poll technique". i put simple question there with the answer only "yes" or "no". is that legal for me to do that? will it be considered as "incentive offer" ?

No. An incentive is where you personally "bribe" someone to complete your offer. Basically saying "hey I'll give you a free keychain if you fill out this email submit". Not exactly that, but you get the idea.

If they are giving away an Iphone for an email address and to complete some offers, that's not your incentive, it's theirs.

I have my own landing page because it feels more real to the consumer. My traffic source is pulse360 and facebook. Do not do facebook yet unless you know how to fine tune the demographics.

It took me a week or 2 of fine tuning their traffic, but pulse360 is a great money maker if you want to go full time because the sites they let you target are very targeted to my offer. It will look like high cpc at first but it's not. If you spend $3.50 you can make back $6.50.

That's how $1000 days can add up fast. Their is a guy in my same niche, targeting some of the same websites I do pulling in $12,000 days. I know it seems crazy but you just have to find what works then ramp it up and be creative.

People make making money online seem alot harder than it really is. Just set aside $100 for some small buys then 2 months later watch what happens to your bank account.

What type of Poll script are you running to pull those types of numbers? That's a pretty good return. You're obviously not using WP Easy Polls. LOL

How much is it to buy into Pulse 360?

                    Thanks.

No, I'm not using WP Easy Polls. I'm using a custom script. You can start using pulse360 with about $100 but each site they target has a different cost per click.

Some cost per clicks are high but with testing it out it always has a great return on some sites they target because of the large volume. (That's my opinion and testing only). It depends on your network, and what offers they have.

Other sites they target like some entertainment websites can be as low as $.44 cents a click. But only you know what sites best fit what your polling about.

OK then, let me clear my situation here, there's a statement in my website which i copied from others.. "Get a Chance.. bla..bla..bla.. for voting".

That will be fine for me, right?

I started today using the "poll technique" on Bing/MSN. I make my polls with WP Quick Polls. I'm targeting a well known celebrity.

Does this type of landing pages convert well? I'm asking this because I read "You're obviously not using WP Easy Polls. LOL", althought I'm using WP Quick Polls the pages are in fact very simple.

                          Best Regards. Wish me luck

It's a nice idea. I have never tried to run poll on Pulse360 because of the high CPCs, but it's true that they have some very good publishers in the sports niche, so it can be worth a try.

Also, if it works on Pulse360 should work on AdSonar as well.

Anyway, I still think that the easiest start for beginners is Yahoo! and Bing.

Polls still work, but I agree with Chris when he says that it's hard to use them with Google. However, Yahoo, Bing and other platforms are still very good for polls.

You just have to find a good question, a nice offers and cheap traffic source.

Google does not allow the standard affiliate poll landing pages to run on adwords.

I am seeing some people currently running traffic in a popular niche to a quiz landing page and email opt in on Google content. I think they own the offer, but this might work with follow up email marketing as an affiliate also.

@Reid Stevens what kind of offers do you promote with the poll method, do you use this free Ipad, Ipod offers? And in the landing page you just put the question and ask the visitor to fill his email on the following page and then you make the redirect to the offer page? Isn't this considered incentive?

So to make it really clear, you host the landing page where you have the poll, and in this landing page you tell the visitor that after he submits the poll he will get the chance to win something if in the next page he will submit his email address! Is this correct?

Ive got a HostGator account and they give you $100 free credit for Google AdWords.

I was wondering, do you have to have a Google AdWords account with credit on it already to use this free credit or can you just create a new AdWords account and start using the $100 credit?

Also how much content do you have to put on the poll site in addition to the actual poll if your using AdWords? As i know Google doesn't like poll sites, i don't want to get slapped.

I'm pretty sure that $100 credit is for new accounts only, so you would need to open up a brand new account

I've been teaching this method since 2007 and every time someone asks "does it still work" the reply is ALWAYS...yes.

Rules change, traffic sources change but the basics of the method remain the same.

They still work, some CPA networks don't like "poll" traffic anymore, but that's ok lots of others do.

Now another cool spin is to use polls on mobile. (You heard it here first).
