PPC Dumb question for CPA

OK. That title sounds like code. Anyway...

I've searched the threads but am still unclear. Are you guys using Google content PPC as well as search?

If so, are you using it more than search?

On a side note, it seems like most of you are capturing the leads you get as well, right? So you can build your list?

Thanks for the thoughts...

Oh yeah. One more thing. I saw this on a recent thread, but contextual (allowed) means I can use Google content PPC as far as most of you understand right?

OK. Off to watch Favre do his magic....wait....oh never mind.

I no longer use adwords for ppc to cpa but when I did I used the content network more than search.

I have my own product/store which I promote and prefer to keep my adwords account in good standing hence why I no longer do cpa stuff on adwords.

While testing your campaigns you may want to start with small media buys before the costly PPC. PPC can run a man into bankruptcy IF you are not fully experienced in both the PPC platform and know how to tweak your campaign on the fly.
And GREAT POINT, while running tests, ABSOLUTELY build a list during the process.

I use both of them but risk is more on Google content. But the cpc for search is increasing way too high .

Just say you want to promote 2$ cpa offer and you have to pay 5$ per click, it is very difficult to have positive ROI in search, in case of content the cpc is low but then quality of traffic also lowers. I am still able to generate profits from combination of adwords and cpa. It doesn't matter what you choose both have advantages and disadvantages its just your marketing tactic which matter.

Google content has the potential to drive HUGE amounts of traffic very profitably, however lately it's become increasingly difficult to promote CPA there.

Contextual allowed often means that CPV pops are allowed. Every affiliate network seems to have a different view of what contextual traffic means, so I always try to get an AM to check with the advertiser to make sure Google content traffic is allowed. Sometimes they classify Google content traffic as "search".

Search, content network, Facebook, PoF, smaller PPC platforms, PPV... People are using all of them! However, you need to choose your platform based on your offer and, mainly, based on your niche/vertical.

Careful with content, you can blow a ton of spend quickly with it. Best to test.

If you're going to use Google, whether search or content, and you're promoting CPA offers, then for this year and going forward I recommend setting up your site as if it were a business in one of the major CPA verticals. Most CPA offers can be related to 1 of a few major areas. Money/Finance/Debt, Health/Fitness/Diet, Relationships/Dating, Entertainment, Education. Sure there are more, but those are pretty common across cpa networks.

Here is an example of what I'm kind of talking about in the debt niche:

Debt Consolidation Loans | Credit Card Consolidation

Now, they have a few pages, but really you can get away with only 3-4 pages, and a nice strong lead form on the page. I like the lead form on the right. Asking for less info will increase optin rate typically. Now, really your lead form is just going to be an optin form. You'll be able to hit these optins with several different types of offers.

Someone looking for debt solutions or whatever, what else could you pitch them? Debt, credit cards, make money online offers, survey offers. Lots of stuff.

Basically, you segment the market in reverse in a way.

This is how I recommend doing things on Google, but really capturing qualified leads is a good practice anywhere to at least test.
