I NEED YOUR EXPERT ADVICE

Hey there...
As usual I have come to you all...you always have helped me with your extensive expertise and invaluable knowledge.
I would like to know your personal perspective regarding a sitaution.

I am contemplating hiring someone from odesk and have interveiwed him also. He is telling me he is an expert with SEO, social ppc and search ppc and all those mind boggling (for me) methods.

I have checked his portfolio and his past work and feedback from past employers and they have given glowing reviews.

He says he has to start his ppc campaign first and then is guaranteeing me 100-150 leads and conversions mixed per day. He says I should be able to see results by the 8th of decemeber if I hire him today and pay him 20 hours per week for two weeks.

Should I believe him and go ahead with him or should I just keep learning myself?

I am very confused..PLEASE ADVISE!!

Think of it like this.. if he/she is an expert, why isn't he making himself/herself money and instead posting there services on odesk?

It doesn't make sense for me... If he is an expert, why wouldn't he deal directly with the network or even with the advertiser? I think that chances are that he will flood your offers with junk traffic... Be careful!

when its too good to be true, it probably is, especially for seo pitches
I tend to believe people who are more realistic in terms of projections

Agreed on all fronts here. I've found my gut to be right more often than not. The saying is there for a reason .."if it's too good to be true..." Personally, like others have mentioned, if I could spend 20 hours a week getting 100-150 conversions/leads a day, I would not be on odesk. I would be working 40 hours a week getting 200-300 conversions per day

yeah you all are correct....I was reccommeded by an internet expert right here on warrior forum to look for people on odesk so i just followed what he said because I bought a wso fro him as well.
As a newbie having NIL experience in ppc and ppv and website building and whatever work goes into making good old cash, do u think a person like me could be successful in cpa marketing?
ps: slap me !!! I have no landing page,no plug ins, double opt ins and no website...yeah yeah I know...Youre probably wondering what the hell Im doing here but Im depesperate..

If you're DESPERATE for cash, internet marketing in general is NOT the way to go about it. A real part-time job is always a better option.

If by 'desperate' you mean that you feel de-motivated, everyone has been there. It sucks. For me, what helps is to think about how my life would change if I got 'it' to work. I tell myself that there ARE people out there making 4 figures a day online, and I remind myself that I too, one day will get there.

So chin up, keep plugging away and you'll get there. I don't say NEVER buy WSO's or pay someone for advice (there are some great teachers out there), but always do an absolute MAXIMUM on your own.

@Hsk2010: If you ever feel desperate then it's the same as me, back in 2007 - 2008 what i have done just read - read and read, i didn't have any idea how to make money from Internet. What makes me couldn't do any action was that i didn't have any skill ( IMHO ) how to create landing pages and even i don't know the meaning what the landing pages is.

Since that i just have to find how to make money from internet, and the first things i should mastered is how to create website quickly (especially for landing pages).

Now i just feel very grateful since i have learned all that things ( i can use dreamweaver/photoshop/illustrator/corel etc).. now what i do just spying to others landing pages, and spying why it can convert so many money. Plus i need good tutor (of course Warrior Forum is the best).

What i want to tell you is there's no shortcut for making money in the internet, you must learn from zero and master how the system work. Though i just a newbie, now i already understand about it, and i'm willing to master the system.

After you mastered it, of course you can pay someone to do it for you, e.g. pay him to create good website (but you must decide it by yourself, what must he/she done with that website)

      Hope it help.

I think he is asking you for his consultancy not for direct traffic. you have to pay to google adwords for each click. The difference is , he is expert so he can give you good return on investment and trouble shot different ideas for your products and its relevant keywords..

I will go with others.. certainly avoid such false commitments rather spend time, work hard and do it yourself as you know your business better then anyone else
