Facebook Advertising Question

Hi,

Here is whats written in Facebook Advertising Guidelines

1.) Ads must send users to the same landing page when the ad is clicked.

So I guess it means that I can't post affiliate links or do direct linking. So I will need to use a custom landing page.

What kind of a page should I use - any examples?

and yes - i am trying to promote a dating related offer

No it does not mean you can't use aff links or direct links. You can.

It does mean that you can't split the clicks from one ad across multiple LPs (no rotating 301s).

You may be best suited to use a squeeze page and build a list.

It means you cannot send reviews to 1 page and regular visitors to another

You can't rotate offers (specially if you're promoting dating, when you need to mention the site in the description of the ad), but you can direct link as long as the offer hasn't been blacklisted by FB.

You can direct link. What they are saying is to make sure your ad link matches your landing page link. Do not show a different domain in the Ad. Make sure it matches where they will be landing at.

To answer your question, "What kind of a page should I use":

You can direct link to an offer, but I highly suggest building a landing page that builds a list for you. In my experience, FB users need to be transitioned a little softer then on Adwords etc... The old internet marketing method of building a relationship, then selling your stuff is my golden rule on FB.

    SRF,

The best way is to set up a fan page and put your code to your landing page in that fan page. That is the way that FB prefers.
    I hope this helps.
