Hahaha I beat FACEBOOK in GOOGLE - Top Position

Hi,

Today I beat FaceBook in Google Rank.

I got TOP POSITION - Numero Uno - for the same long-tail keyword. Attached is the ScreenShot.

My web site is only 3 days old ->> Free Gifts Festival : The One Stop Center For Free Gifts, Coupons and Discount Cards. . beating a giant.

The site is not even finished yet. hehehe.

Did exactly as guided by 2 WSOs ( from Bill Platt & Mike Morgan ). And the result is proven. Yes ! I'm happy.

I dare not promote in any Fan Page because it is known that FB will shut the page down in a matter of hours. Google will reject it for PPC. Both giants hate CPA.

So for traffic, I'll be using video sites.

I'll share more about it with warriors here.

      Hi Phobos,

This site is only 3 days old. There are more things to add. There's not even a Usage & Privacy Policy yet. I plan to promote the site only next week. I was bored and just for fun I checked Google. There it was.

Your question inspired me to look through the raw log file. I can't rely on Google Analytics yet because there's nothing much to see. Furthermore, Google reports seem to have missed a lot of important traffic for my other sites.

So here's the result. There is only 1 that came from Google Search. hehe. He searched for " Festival Free Gifts ". wow. almost bull's eye.

There are 2 groups of traffic though, from 110 unique visitors:
      1. Traffic that came from people who typed the domain directly in their browsers, mainly Safari & Chrome. Mainly today. This is very strange.

      2. Traffic that came from FB. In fact, majority of them came from FB. Funny. This was since yesterday.

I won't be monitoring them as yet. Will take up my time from completing the site and the video. But it seems to be attracting some people already. Hopefully the offers convert.

All the offers do not allow Tweets from my site. So I disabled tweet function there. For the web video, I just finished producing the original music. Now doing copy and selecting materials.

We'll see, how it goes for this first CPA project.

    Congrats

    One thing though.

You have selected a keyword with no searches, you should probably try to target something with a bit more traffic.

Your keyword phrase "Free Gifts Festival" receive 0 exact searches per month (same with broad) and there is 1400 competing sites in Google. (edit: this thread is now listed as #4 in Google for your search term).

You have that keyword as the domain name, so there is absolute no competition.
The amount of traffic you have, is probably from forums like this one, since you post the link to your website :p

I like the design of your website

    Anyway, good luck with everything

      Thanks for the tip.

Well. I was looking for a better dotcom domain that might have some exact search. Most were taken. I would have taken good ones with dot info and dot net. But the mantra I've seen in WF is dot com dot com dot com.

So maybe this strange domain might do the trick because of the first 2 parts. Also maybe the right post headers might help a bit. But SEO is certainly not in the plan.

My plan is to test "zero google effort" to bring in traffic. (except for Google Tools )

There were only 8 WF members who came in to review the site after I posted it. I'm pretty sure they wont convert the offers. If they did, good. I can buy more WSO.

Thank you for the good word about design. Hope you clicked the LIKE button too.

      Hey Mike.

I'm greatly honoured to have you taking the time off to comment in this thread.

You're the first Advanced Warrior to tell me that dot org and net are acceptable in niches. Thanks for the advice. You're a maverick, just like Richard Branson.

I had my doubts about the common mantra but being new in the CPA game, I'd follow the common path of the many wise men. It will take time to reach to an independent level of thought.

Lets heat it up a bit.

Anyone wants to refute what Mike just said?

This is puzzling. What I heard is dot com as THE best and try as hard as possible to get it based on the niche. Even with dashes as long as it is dot com.

Maybe SEO people would know this best.

Recently I've also seen that a lot of people say that is much easier to rank with a short dot com domain and also without any dashes, because there are too many **ity sites with dot net or org

I haven't the intention at all to be ranked in Google. Not the strategy that I planned for. Anyway, almost zero people search for the keyword "Free Gifts Festival". heheh.

But "Gifts Festival" has almost 900 searches, and my 3 day old site is ranked at number 10. This is just plain funny. Free Traffic from Google, while I'm still building the site.

Just to let you know, within 2 hours after creating this thread, google had spidered it and ranked it as a WF post at number 2. Amazing.

At least now we know, never put "weird" stuff on this forum and on our websites. It'll be exposed to millions of people.

      Hi Sandrax,

Right after I read your post. I did a check at google.

      > Gifts Festival without the quotes rised up to no.9

      > With the quotes, it climbed to number 5. ( No. 3 is Halloween Gifts and No.4 is India Exporters Market ).

Google is sucking me in, when I ignore it. This is weird but good.

        Hi,

This is an update of the same CPA site I'm working on, i.e., Free Gift Festival : The One Stop Center For Free Gifts, Coupons and Discount Cards. . Just a case study I would like to share.

        1. Moments ago I uploaded a video to YT. We'll see whether there will be any changes in Google ranking later. Will it bring TRAFFIC ??? Will it convert? Will I get banned? I'll link it to FB. We'll see.

        2. The following keywords were searched and the site was ranked by Google:

-> without quotes - Free Gifts Festival - is at the top 2 spots in just 1 week. The value increased as there are 4 Adwords Advertisers on Google.
-> with quotes - Free Gifts Festival - is dominating top 5 spots. There are 3 Adwords advertisers. Strange indeed.
-> Free Gift Festival ( without the 's' ) gives the site No. 5. zero adwords
-> with quotes Free Gift Festival ( without the 's' ) gives the site No. 6 but has 6 Adwords advertisers.
-> Searching for Gift Festival, NO RANK

        THE MOST INTERESTING :
-> When I searched for Gifts Festival, it was ranked No.6 and has 5 adwords advertisers.

        Why interesting?
-> It was ranked even by using 2 words plucked out from the domain name. This shows the power of contextual domain name. It helps in ranking, eventhough long tail. They take whats relevant.

-> There are adwords advertisers there, eventhough there are only 880 searches a month ( from Google Traffic Estimator ). The one without the s - GIFT FESTIVAL - has 2,900 searches ( also from Google Traffic Estimator ) but got ZERO ADWORDS.

Probably, the advertisers are choosing their spots based on Demographics ( people who know how to spell well - hehehehe ) who has buying power or maybe just because of the cost of PPC is lower.

        Maybe a Controversial Assumption

        1) When deciding any new niche, the usual case is that many looks for minimum keyword searches of 2,800 from Google Traffic Estimator.

IMHO, we also need to check whether there are Adwords Advertisers for that niche. It gives the impression that the niche has value among advertisers, therefore worthwhile.

Hence, we can lower down the number of searches as a factor in deciding the niche, maybe between 800 to 1,000. 2,800 is not necessary. Adwords Advertisers has more juice.

        2) A brand new contextual "longtail" domain name for a niche, can dominate Google and pushes down MATURED DOMAIN NAMES, DOMINANT BRANDS, KEYWORD STUFFED SITES - in a matter of days.

        3) When you have contextual domain name, don't look at the NUMBER OF COMPETITION ( eventhough zillions ). They are irrelevant.

Therefore, efforts for Google ranking is not necessary because Google will include them and rank them any way as long as it is relevant.

Finally, the focus in CPA should be bringing in TRAFFIC from all other sources. Google is automatic and no effort ( and no expenses ) is needed.

Its not set in stone as a dogma. So critics welcomed.

We make a fair exchange. Show me yours, I'll show you mine.

      hehehehe. Just kidding.

Frankly, I did nothing extraordinary. Google was all over it like a hungry drought victim.

If I did something extraordinary, it was purely accidental. I still can't figure it out, properly.

Also, please study my website to see whether it fits to be spidered, if at all.

I did made some "assumptions" in my previous post in this thread. THAT could be it.

Finally, I do projects from the beginning based on SEO specs because it makes good design sense. But no focused efforts to bring traffic from SE.
