I have posted regular updates about my progress so here is the latest.

I spend a lot of time doing cpa and have spent time readng a lot of posts onhere to learn techniques and methods. I have managed to scale things up and implement many of the practices suggested in this forum (not paid methods as I cant afford it). Ive noticed twice he amount of clickthroughs but I still do not get any conversions. The most I earn in any one day is $1.25 if I am lucky. I am pretty dubious about CPA or certainly the network i am with (Maxbounty) How can i increase my clicks by so much every day - over 100 per day from 20-30 yet I rarely get any conversions.

I get more with peerfly - I write articles and have got some conversions on one particular product. the same practice does not work with Maxbounty.

I am pretty dubious of the whole thing and alas not far from jacking the whole thing in. Ive been on this for almost 2 years now and I cant afford to spend hours of my life every day doing this if its not really producing any results when i could be doing other things.

Sorry its negative but its just the way things are right now!!!

  Best thing to do would be to post links to your articles here. That way others can see what you are doing ( or NOT doing ) and give advice. There are many helpful people here who know their stuff. Don't get down on yourself. That's what the learning "curve" is about. Failure, failure, failure, failure, SUCCESS!

  Once you earn a little more with free traffic, you will be able to integrate some paid traffic.
  
  Just keep your eyes open and watch what some other people are doing. I use mostly paid traffic, but I generate a little here and there via free traffic. I tried experimenting with YouTube videos, and they worked really well (though I've heard of people getting their vids taken down, it hasn't happened to me).
  
  Regarding free traffic, I actually make more with my own products and Clickbank products than I do with CPA offers. A well written article that steers a reader to the product will eventually net you some affiliate sales.

  I recently found that free traffic sources are great, you can spend 10k daily with paid methods and you will make like 12k with 20% roi(i have seen most people who spend huge amounts daily on paid methods run on small margins), but with free traffic if you make 2k, its all profit you dont need to spend anything . I am talking about SEO, article marketing and there are plenty other free methods out there.

Bro articles and free methods donot work until you do it in large scale .. Free methods only work if you have some creative ideas with youtube , facebook .. Try to read more good guides from here or from other places .. You will get your way soon ..

  Hey man, keep with it! If you're moving forward and in the right direction you're bound to get there eventually. It sounds like you've got the drive if you've been at it two years.
  
  You can lose a lot of money using paid traffic but you also learn quickly. If you go the free route I could see how the learning curve could be quite long. One thing I've learned is it helps to be in the right vertical. Try something in the health, wealth, and love categories. Also, conversion rate will probably be effected by the quality of the traffic and how well the traffic matches the offer. I would think article marketing would work well but it probably depends on the approach?
  
  Also, how about offline traffic? There's a lot of it, and it's free. I haven't tried it, but it seems like you could treat it much like traditional traffic sources (as opposed to SEO for example). Target a demographic (colleges for college kids, "the hill" for wealthy people, etc.) and test offers. Just a thought.
  
  Keep at it man! I think the key is to find something you like to do. It's much more important to enjoy life than to make money. There are a million ways to make money online. Find something you're passionate about and make it work.

I suspet traffic is part of my problem but i just cant afford paid traffic and the cheaper the traffic the pooer the quality especially if it isnt targeted. Do a lot of youtube and ive had a few vids taken down so use multiple ids. Youtube doesnt really return much either. Ive decided to concentrate on another CPA network instead and see what gives.

Free traffic methods are not likely to take you forward fast unless you are able to automate & outsource it.

Try mastering paid traffic source. If you can not afford, Take up some part/full time job to fund it.

Yeah, I tried youtube for a bit. Then I read a blog from someone who does it for a living and although he made a lot of money his statistics were just horrible. The conversion rate is almost non existent.

I think the only way to make it work is through automation and mass video submission or through high quality videos. I'd prefer making high quality videos since you are creating quality and your vids aren't going to get taken down. Try to get millions of hits per video as opposed to a few hits on millions of videos. Make a humor skit, or get two hot girls to talk about sex, I don't know, get creative

. Get a following and start submitting a video a week. It's like TV, get lots of subscribers, and deliver them the goods.

Yes, I agree.

Also, I think that you should use free traffic with one goal: make a budget to take the paid route. It's definetely possible to make money with free traffic, but if you want to pursue the big bucks you should have the goal of getting started with PPC or PPV as soon as possible.

It's what I did and I'm very happy with the results.

Save the money that you make from your videos an articles, also try to save some money from your offline job and when you can take the paid route.

I know that paid traffic involves a risk, but I've learned that the bigger the risk the more money you make if you succeed. Honestly, I don't know a safe way to become a millionaire.

So take the risk and, if you fail, try again. The more you try the more you learn, and the more you learn the closer you get from the success.

This is a critical point. Just look at the stock market. If you evaluate it closely (just look at the 1990 Nobel Prize in economics on portfolio theory and efficient frontiers) you'll find that unless you're lucky the only way to get a better return on your money is to take more risk. That's basically all there is to it. With IM you have to either risk spending your money or your time and money is probably going to get you there a lot faster...

William makes a good point to move on to paid traffic ASAP. Until then just keep at it. Keep moving forward. And you'll reach your destination. Best.

The videos i make on Youtube are very high quality - almost broadcast quality as my background is in video editing and media. And done the sex thing too..no luck im afraid. Looks like i have to do down the paid route which i do not want to do. Ive done it before for other things and i got stung badly! Im trying to follow the advice of Kenster - I bought his guide - I dont know if u know of him? Success via free methods is supposed to be possible!

What I meant is that getting prepared to take the paid route should be your goal when using free traffic. You can do only free traffic for the rest of your life if you just want to make some extra cash online, but if you want to make a living with CPA you will probably need to use paid ad platforms.

So don't get frustrated if you don't have 4 or even 3 figures days using free traffic soruces, because it definetely doesn't mean that you're not talented or can't make the big bucks that others are making. You will make more serious money when you make a budget with free strategies and start using an ad platform.
