Anyone promoting Directv?

I have started to promote directv a couple of weeks ago. 2 sales so far at $275 commission each. So far I have mainly used articles to drive traffic and a website (not a blog) to drive traffic. However I find it difficult to get decent ranking with Google because the top 10 are pretty well seeded. Any ideas besides articles? Banners, media buy etc. I tried PPV with Lead Impact and Directcpv with no success.

That's a pretty tough and saturated niche to get ranked in... I'd be writing articles for ezine etc to drive traffic as well as get backlinks. Forum posting may also help you.

I have bee dying to get into directv, i spoke with one of my am's and he said ppl are doing ppc, ppv email and some offline. Im looking into something other that paying per click or view. Im thinking about trying offline somehow, flyers, postcards direct mail...something. The directv offer is incentivizable too so. i think it would be very profitable if done right

DirectCPV pretty much sucks. Low converting traffic, generally terrible support, and poor quality traffic.

Just my opinion though -- I'm sure there's people who are happy with it.

So what CPV network would you suggest, otherwise? Traffic Vance?

C'mon, Phil, don't just leave 'em hanging with a bad review of one ad network without telling them a good one to go to, ha ha.

Regarding DirecTV, I have an old ezine article that got a few thousand views comparing DirecTV and Dish Network and used it to promote Dish Network as they're cheaper, though I didn't make a sale on it as soon after Dish stopped their affiliate program. However, reminds me I should maybe try and change up my destination page to promote DirecTV as I am part of a network now that has this offer, and it pays a lot as the OP said.

This is one of those that could do well as almost any consumer already knows the product. It costs big money though, so conversions percentage would probably be low.

I have considered in the past doing this with flyer marketing and I think pushing the fact you can get HD around Super Bowl time might be a good idea combined with door hangers. I may give it a shot but I think anything less than trying at least 1000 door hangers would be a waste of time...Anyway somebody try it out, I am certainly thinking of it!

Yeah, TrafficVance is the cream of the crop. If you don't have $1k to deposit up front, check out mediatraffic and leadimpact, which both have $200 min. deposits. The quality from these 3 platforms has certainly checked out from advertisers I've dealt with, so they're highly recommended.

On the same token, I don't think PPV would be the best traffic source for DirecTv -- I'd recommend something that will be more expensive, but more cost effective. So check out media buys from media buying platforms like Pulse 360, AdBlade, AdSonar, etc.. It's very expensive to run offers via media buying, but at the same time, you can definitely make a lot of money with the higher paying CPA offers, which the cable companies tend to be.

I'm very interested in this since I have a website with satellite dish traffic, but I never found an affiliate program online that I could sign up for. Link me up to a network with a directv offer? Thanks!
