Facebook ads being disapproved

Just curious. How many times did you have to try to get your ad approved on facebook the first time you used them? I've been denied 4 times in the last hour.

I used to get approved 9 times out of ten, in the beginning.

Now it's hard to BUY an approval.

It's actually stupidly ridiculous at this point.

Landing pages are definitely not necessary. I promote a lot of dating ads and every single one of them has been direct linked.

Are you promoting an offer outside of the US? If it's geotargeted you need to set up a redirect such as tracking202, first link to the main site page then once approved change to your affiliate link.

I am trying direct linking first. It is US based. Right now I have the link going straight to the offer. Should I have used the main site URL first and then changed to my affiliate URL? That doesn't seem like facebook would like that.

Hi could you elaborate on the direct linking part? How do you actually direct link?

On your second method of linking first to the main site and also change to the affiliate link after approval, I did that and they disapproved my ad after a while which bring s back to square one. Please share your experience.. Are you doing it on Facebook Ads?

I think what we need to understand is why are your ads being disapproved? What type of offers are you promoting ???

That's strange...I've never had a Facebook ad denied. Then again I'm selling my own product so maybe it's different with affiliate products but I've never had an issue on my own.

I did a direct link campaign had 100% of my ads disapproved.

Did the exact same one with a landing page and 100% were approved.

If it's something where you're collecting user information, use a landing page for far better approval rates.

I get disapproved all the time. I constantly try and push the 'envelope' with FB ads just to see what they will and will not accept. I can tell you there is no rhyme or reason to their approval process. What gets disapproved today, might get approved tomorrow.

Direct linking does work, BUT, if FB has blacklisted the offer you are linking to you will never get approval.

I have a couple of suggestions for you:

    1) Try and figure out why the ad was disapproved. It one of a few things: Title, body, image, link, or the landing page (direct link or otherwise). The way to figure this out is to submit new ads changing one variable in each. Then see what gets approved. This is a pain in the but to do, but will give you valuable info for building future campaigns.

    THEN:

    2) Forget about it and move on. Keep pushing forward. Post as many ads as possible. This will lwt you know what works and what does not.

    Hope that helps...

How do you know if an offer has been blacklisted? Here is my home page website. How to create an online business - explained simply I am just trying to build my list and using Chris Farrell's email funnell as an incentive. He has a free pdf. I have kept all word of money, marketing etc.. out of ad. I have tried dozen of variations. What is wrong with this page? Thanks

I am trying to promote some UK offers. However, sometimes, my ads are approved but sometimes are not. When they disapprove my ads, the reason is

"The destination URL of this ad violates Facebook's Advertising Guidelines or could not be reviewed." I think it's because only UK visitors can see the landing page.

Anyway to solve this problem? Thx!

Facebook employees often have a look at your landing page to decide if they should approve your ad.

So if they can't access the landing page (because they're not in the UK) they're not going to be happy.

I'd suggest you use a click-through / landing page and drive traffic to that page by targeting UK residents on Facebook.

FB approval system can be tough in the beginning (it was for me). However, it won't be a problem when you understand how it works.

First, read their ad guidelines carefully. Second, pay attention to the reasons why your ads get rejected. Third, contact them if you can't understand why your ads keep getting rejected.

Also, some offer may have been blacklisted, so talk to your affiliate manager and make sure that your offer is still allowed on FB.

Don't keep resubmitting the same ad over and over, that will make Facebook mad, and may ban your account.

Always be making changes, read the Ad Guidelines for Facebook.

    They help a lot.

Many, many times mate ... just the nature using their platform

Just resubmit them but tweak them so they comply with their guidelines or what their review team wants you to change them to. That should keep them happy and ensure your new version of the ad gets approved.

Depends on what you're getting rejected for and what you're trying to promote. I havent had an ad rejected by FB in quite some time. Are you using an affiliate link that may have the url flagged? Is it a violation in the ad creative? Should be workarounds for any reason really. Start off conservative to get approved and then start to push the envelope from there.
