Clicks but no conversions!

Hey everyone! Happy New Year to all CPA Marketers. Let's all make Good Money in this New Year.

I need to knw, how do you track your cpa campaigns? I mean for ppc, I knw we use prosper 202, but for something that you just put up on your facebook fan page, or in forum signatures, what do Use?

I use bit.ly as I just started. But the thing is for the last week I have worked really hard, and advertised my offers. I got around 50 clicks for an e-mail submit offer and around 20 for a registration offer that pays $2. Thing is I ought to get atleast one signup, even from the email submit, but I didn't! I think something is wrong. Can it be the network or something wrong with my link, or the pixel not firing? How do I get to know abt it?Also I'm nt promoting Bit.Ly links but using my own domains to redirect to the bit.ly links.
What do you think guys?

If you have your own domains to redirect the traffic, why do you need to use bit.ly?

Anyway, I think that you could just use subIDs for tracking. You can use a simple PHP script to redirect people to the offer with the parameters. However, in this case you would need to have hosting...

@ William- I am using bit.ly to track how many clicks I receive.

How do I send a Test lead? Who will signup for a single submit?

If you goto the Reports section when you login to your CPA account it tells you how many clicks you've recieved for each offer.

Are you sure the email submit offer your promoting converts on the 1st page? Some take longer to fill out so it's harder to get a conversion.

The E-mail submit offer is for a Free I pad. It converts on a First Page Submit.

Ive had over 50 clicks for an offer but no conversions. I think one possibility is that the offer is for US traffic only but quite a number of those 50 clicks are from people who live outside the US so they just get re-directed to another offer and then close the browser window.

Nope! I am using PPC targeted to the U.S. I think I should remove the bit.Ly link by replacing it with my affilliate link.

    Hi,

On 1 hand, changing the bit.ly link to aff link is good thinking. I have had some problems with tinyURL where visitors get redirected to some lewd sites.

On the other, you're opening your link to witted surfers, who might also hijack cookies in the links. I've heard of this but I'm not too sure.

You might also use Tracking202, to track visitors and cover your links. It is a trusted service provider.

    Send thru a test/dummy lead

If it checks out, you know its the type of traffic you are sending. If not, its a technical issue.

Any questions just let me know

      Hey Guys,

I did remove the bit.Ly Link and used a Test lead to enter an e-mail after that. I got the conversion on my account. And yeah, I've got about 12 conversions already after that from the same traffic source that was not supposed to be converting.
I don't know how many conversions I might have missed because of this Mistake. Will be using Tracking202 from now onwards.

The problem is, bit.ly won't work well for CPA - Email submit offer landing page. Basicly your traffic will go waste with bit.ly since they won't redirect the url to your landing page offer. The reason is, your landing page is "not good enough / didn't meet standart or rules" for bit.ly

Seems like im facing the same problem at the old time
