I ran about 12 campaigns before I finally figured out how PPC really works. Best thing I learned: Its all about THEM ... Google, Yahoo, BING ... THEY want to make as much money off you. If you can satisfy that need without compromising your profit margins, they will give you all the traffic they have.

Any questions just let me know

About 10-15 campaigns. But even then not a huge ROI. And those campaigns are not just in google, but also in msn and other secondary ppc engines.

What I found is that the chance of a campaign being profitable lies quite heavily on the type of offer and landing page that you have. With proper demographic research, your keywords, offer, and landing page should be able to convert your traffic at a rate that is profitable.

If you are talking about PPC campaigns, then A LOT. I had some within my first 20 that were breaking even or maybe turning a tiny bit of profit on some days but certainly nothing to brag about.

If I were throw out a number, I would say my first decent ($50 per day) campaign came maybe 25-30 campaigns deep.

Also keep in mind that I was testing really small and didn't have a good budget so I didn't have the luxury of "working" most campaigns.

PPC is a lot of work and sweat but the rewards after all is said and done can be great.

Of course the more you are prepared going in, the far better you will likely end up!

It amazes me how guys come on here, and here guys like Nick and Ken talk about how it took them 20 campaigns just to see a small profit, yet they expect to make money after one or two campaigns. These guys probably started working ten times harder than most right from the start, and they're both very smart, yet some of the guys on here think somehow that they're going to be successful putting in one hour a day??? I don't think so. Just stick with it and don't get discouraged

The biggest thing is to get a strategy and stick with it and roll out the campaigns, not every campaign will be successful, for some people it's 1 in 5, others 1 in 20, etc..

I remember launching a campaign back in 2006 for clickbank product and I got one conversion with a $5 ad spend then they slapped the hell out of me.

I have setup 5 campaigns over the past 6 months or so that aren't showing profits yet (or even covering costs). Fortunately, the more I learn, the more promising things start to look.
