Landing page for ppc?

Hey guys,

I was just wondering, When running a ppc campaign, why do you make another landing page that leads to the offer instead of direct linking?

Is it to avoid paying if the customer decides to navigate away from your offer?

If so, will I need to consider making one for my next campaign?

    Some networks do not allow direct linking. Using a landing page will give you more control while testing offers. Meaning you can use the same landing page and rotate a couple of different offers to see which ones perform better.

    some offers are weaker or needs the user to do more (enter cc #), and you would need to presell them

    also useful if you want to capture their contact info first before sending them to the offer's page
