My problem is I cannot even get clicks to my CPA offers. Let alone conversions.

I made about a hundred classified ads about free ipads, and nothing.

I'm missing something really important here.

Check how much traffic you are getting. If you are getting a lot and its a simple submit, then maybe something is set up wrong so you aren't getting credit. Classified ads are a tricky beast...without knowing what you are doing, I can't tell if you are doing something wrong, but its a very finicky traffic source. If you dont put up ads correctly, they can come down just as fast as you are putting them up!

Thanks Kenster, I've set up google analytics.. afer doing on page optimisation my page seems to be ranking ok - (is it different for other people than me? - I have it ranked at the bottom of page 1 for "easy dollars" yet have no clicks or conversions)

I am pleased to say my list has had two people sign up though - which for me is a miracle.

If anyone has any tips on promotion, please let me know.

Good start though it's a learning experience for you if you take it that way! otherwise it was a loss of your time and money.

Find better keywords to target and rank for, then have relevant offers for those pages. you should be making money soon.

"easy dollars" gets 22 exact match local searches a month. Hardly earth shattering. Being at the bottom of the first page, you can expect around 4% of this search volume which amount to 1 whopping click to your site a month. Maybe therein lies your problem.

Don't get discouraged. Failures come and will forever but eventually when you stick with it successes follow. The key is learning from those setbacks. It's when you don't learn why something isn't working or take a victim's stance that you truly fail and deserve the facepalm...

The ones who beat failure fatigue are the ones that make it online.

I think you should check your keyword. CPA program sometimes doesn't works if keywords are not specific.

Yes, you need to check the keywords first. My rule is, ideally there should be at least 100 searches a day for your keyword. Look in google external keyword tool under Exact, and find some good keywords that way.

When I used to do article marketing I always focused a lot on the SEO side. You need to choose your keywords properly, write the article properly and then generate good backlinks (you can create good link wheels using HubPages, Squidoo, other article directories, Blogger, etc).

Writing article in the hope of getting traffic from the article directories themselves was never very good for me.

I think you are going about it the wrong way.. I wouldn't think of it like "what makes someone do a cpa offer", I would get more specific... "what makes someone want to consolidate debt?", "what type of person would want to consolidate debt?", "why would someone need to consolidate debt?" - this is obviously geared towards a debt offer.. but hopefully you get the point..

It's about thinking outside the box

Yes mate, from my past experience. Let me tell you about this.
95% of people get online will only use 'mouse', they just browse and read and move on. They will not give a damn about what you persuade them like "come fill up this email and you'll stand a chance to win an ipad/iphone/macbook"

Your articles got to be unbiased - like review, do some backlinks and linkwheels.

Again, you are doing alot of things at one time. Select one traffic source and focus. Etiher video marketing or article marketing. For video, there are a lot of case study threads her. Learn and modify, be creative.

Give them what they want! If you doing apple products, search in youtube see what others are doing.

  • In my opinion, if i see an ad about a free ipad i think LIE or SCAM or SPAM . That is a way to make people run and not want to give you their email, or any other info.
I would NOT say "free ipad" anywhere. Maybe word it different like " Take 2 minutes of your time, and you can be entered to win an ipad" or something.

Or do some kind of "survey" about what they would most typically use an ipad for if they had one. This "gives" people an ipad in their mind, and are more likely to respond. Also make them do the CPA before they see the results. Something like that, where they have to do something, even if it is a survey or quiz or something. Make it fun and simple, like the ipad

Are you allowed to put "win an ipad" though if the iPad offer is not actually a competition?

As many CPA offers such as Free iPad offers require you to complete around 13 offers to get whatever is free, only certain offers are actually competitions.

I guess you've just got to make sure before you say that. Should say on the offer description.

Also make sure you check with your network first. A lot of these offers explicity say that you can't use the term "win" or "Free" (even though they do in their lander - go figure)

haha, easy dollars has less exact match search and that's why he got no traffic. This is a real mistake that all newbie do and i am too. But you could increase your traffic by many other means by posting hundreds of articles to it and i am sure you will get good traffic and conversion. Conversion is latter after you get traffic
