Newbie checking in. I bought 2 WSO's from you guys (tanx Morgan & Kenster) and I am all fired up about getting started. Not sure about the Craigs list connection like what section to post in and how not to violate any rules. Tanx again

Craigslist is not a good place to be promoting CPA unless you use some sneakier tactics, that are borderline dishonest.

Not to mention Craigslist will shut you down if you post too many ads, and this is a numbers game, so they don't mix. Also, most networks hate CL traffic, so they won't pay you even if it does convert. Be careful..

Not recommended - networks hate it and will usually ban you.

Like everybody else said... You are probably just looking for trouble hitting up Craigslist. You are going to beat your head against a wall trying to figure out how to successful get enough posts stuck on Craigslist to make a decent amount of money.

Your time will be better spent trying other forms of marketing; ppc, media, ppv, contextual, etc. In the long run these traffic types will yield you long term results and allow you to grow your business.

Yes. Tell the newbies "Craigslist is bad...networks don't like it" so that the big guys have it all to themselves.

Honestly, don't worry about the network...worry about the offer. Ask your account manager what offers allow it. There are offers out there that welcome CL traffic...I promote them all the time and have always gotten paid.

Craigslist is a GOLDMINE when you do it right.

It's a site where you can freely (when you know how) post ads. People repsond to the ads in droves (again when you do it right). And there are PLENTY of offers that allow CL traffic.

It's ranked number 10 on Alexa and their is virtually no competition anymore (read the posts above).

Just speak to your AM before doing anything and match the right offer to your promo methods. As long as you and your AM are on the same page, you'll be good.

  • Most networks HATE CL traffic. It's usually garbage traffic unless your generating leads for debt or insurance offers. I do remember MLM campaigns doing well on Craigslist but biz opp cpa offers usually generate low quality traffic. Almost every network I know of will not accept this form of traffic except for the network called "strongerads". I believe they are a network that have CPA offers that you can promote on CL.

Yes, I think it is the AM who could guide better. But does AM really suggests using which traffic strategies one should use? Every offers suggests which traffic is allowed.

Unless you know what you are doing it can be hard to post on CL. I tried it for a bit and a lot of ads didn't show and others were taken down.

No doubt money can be made if you can post a lot of adverts and cpa network is ok with the traffic though.

It honestly doesn't even matter if you try using a link shortener, ad's are ghosted damn near immediately. I've tried it plenty of times, worked in the past (and I know how to write the ad's and correct places to post)...but not their flagged damn near within seconds.

Your ads will undoubtedly get shut down...its a cat and mouse game and requires constant work to keep campaigns going.

With that said, it has become very tough for beginners, as now (unless you are experienced) you will need to drive your traffic to a site first.

So for newbies its a phenomenal traffic source but not a monetization source. Use it to drive traffic to your site and do your selling from there. Dont drive the traffic straight to an offer

I think CL can be great for email/zip submit offers if you know what you're doing. Of course, if you want to make big money, outsourcing would probably be required. But yes, there are still marketers quietly making a killing on CL.
