How to track keyword on Leadimpact using Prosper202?

Hello everyone, Drazen here.

I would like to know how my prosper202 link should look to properly track keywords on leadimpact.

When I generate URL I got something like this
Code:
http://redirect.tracking202.com/dl/22111457?t202kw=
Should I add dynamic keyword {keyword} after kw= or something else or leave it without adding anything?
#keyword #leadimpact #prosper202 #track

I haven't used LI in a long time but I thought they had something on the dashboard that gives you steps on how to track keywords and conversions.

Yes. Lead Impact has it on dashboard it's hard to see but it's there when looking at all campaigns it says conversion tracking.

It have this script <script src="https://cts.zroitracker.com/Conversion.aspx?cpid=XXX"></script>, but I don't need that.

I need to track keywords with prosper202.

Why don't you give Bevo Media a try? Its fast and more accurate than prosper, plus its free... Bevo Media - Your Internet Marketing Homebase

    Hi Walker

Two different ways to do it with Lead Impact. You can either "enable keyword passthrough" on each campaign (on the Lead Impact dashboard), or add the token %KEYWORD% to your Prosper202 URL. So using your example above it would look like:

I've used both but have most success with the 2nd method. Don't ask me why but sometimes the 1st method doesn't send through the keywords.

    Cheers

      Hey filter!

You seem to be the authority on cpv traffic on here. I'm new to cpv, and wondered if you knew specifically how to track converting keywords from lead-impact for peerfly offers with "tracking202".

Am I safe to assume that tracking202 is not accurate since its not self-hosted? Or does it take like 10 hours to update.

I just have the same dilemma as everybody else how to track views--->Landing Pages---->CTR--->Offers---->Conversions.

Any advice would be great, thanks for your time.

      --Kalki

P.S. Would love to keep in contact and help each other out!

    G'day Kalki

Thanks for the kind words mate

Lead Impact -> 202 -> Peerfly is pretty straight forward. But as with anything to do with CPV and tracking, there's a few steps involved, and a few different ways to do it - which part in particular are you having trouble with?

Tracking 202 is fine to get your feet wet and learn the ropes, but I really wouldn't recommend using it on a live campaign. As soon as you're ready, make the jump to Prosper.

    Cheers

Thought I'd bump this thread as I'm having a bit of trouble with setting up tracking202 with Peerfly on a leadimpact campaign. Am I correct in this process?

Step 1- PPC Network = Leadimpact
Step 2- Aff Network = Peerfly
Step 3- link = http://peerfly.com/click.php?img=0&i...f=23xxx&subid=[whateveriwant] (This is just my peerfly aff link with any subID i want)
Step 4/7- Not needed for PPV direct linking (is this correct?)
Step 8- My postback URL is

      http://static.tracking202.com/gpb/i5...xxxxvwy?subid=

Now, what do I do with this sub-ID? (tutorial pages for tracking202 aren't working for me at the moment)

Do I put this link in to my leadimpact campaign? Also, do I need to add something to the "subid=" for it to work? (I saw %KEYWORD%, what is this?)

      Thanks for your help.

        Hey Biowza

For your affiliate url, you will have to enter it like this in step #3:

        http://peerfly.com/click.php?img=0&i...f=23xxx&subid=[[subid]]

[[subid]] is automatically generated in Prosper202, so you can see what keywords are converting.

Step #7 is needed for every campaign, be it Advanced Landing pages or Direct Linking. This is where you get the URL to enter into your traffic source, in your case lead impact.

I have a video on my site on how to set up Direct Linking campaigns if you need a detailed guide It's in my signature.

Let me know if you need more assistance

I used the first method of @Filter (adding %KEYWORD%) and it worked well for direct linking.
Now I am working with landing pages. I tried both methods.
    1. Adding %KEYWORD% to the generated landing page url. Result - I see %KEYWORD% in tracking report instead of real keyword.
    2. "Enable keyword passthrough" - no keywords in the tracking report.

I use php file for redirection to the affiliate offer.
    What is wrong?

    Thanks,
    Dani

Regardless of whether you're using a landing page or not... the keyword/url will be passed through when your tracking link/landing page link you provided to lead impact is activated by the keyword or url you're bidding on. So your php redirect to the actual offer page should not affect the keyword/url pass-through. Hope this makes sense

You put the URL you want to display when your display ad is triggered. This will, of course, vary greatly depending on your goals and the tools you're using.

If you get more specific about your set up, someone can help you with more specific answers.

I learnt that its better to uncheck the box and then add %KEYWORD% parameter after "="

i tested as such and it works.

the problem with leadimpact is that they add
      &keyword=whatever
to the end of your tracking link

no matter what it looks like
and no matter which kw placeholder you use

so you need to fetch this placeholders value first
and then redirect to your prosper
after cleaning the link the way prosper need its it

      but dont forget
it really a bad idea to pass the keyword

I don't believe it is.. just setup a php redirect to convert the &keyword= into whatever tracking prefix you want/need

Yeah, I know how to do it...was just wondering why Frank said it was bad...maybe because it's easy to get spied on if you pass keyword?

Keyword passthrough is the only option you need to mark on LI dashboard, it would be the easiest way of all to be honest..

No custom scripts, no nasty redirects or anything, you can talk to LI support regarding that as well..

I read more of this out there but i still not know exactly for the first step set up (T202 Tutorial Videos) when input Leadimpact as traffic source, prosper202 required "Pixel Code" is URL only (i saw the their video guide) but with Leadimpact they have only Script tracking conversion, so i have to cut down from this Script to url, but when i test this url, it never work,.. so any one experience with this? and what you guy input on the last fiel of first step in Prosper202.
    Thank very much.

I don't understand anything you just said. But if you're asking how to setup LI + Prosper, just generate the link in Prosper and then append %KEYWORD% to the end of the link (just after t202kw=). Then in LI do NOT check the keyword passthrough box. Done.

So, for example, your link might look something like this:
      http://domain.com?t202id=1234&t202kw=%KEYWORD%

          Hi Ihearttaters,
In order to do as your mention, i have to skip something not input on the first step set up. i got the link generate, but i put "%%$KEYWORD%%" at the end instead of "%KEYWORD%". I hope that work. The reason i not do this at the beginning because i do my landing page on the campaign with Leadimpact. if this not work, i will try with landing page method

I don't quite understand. %%KEYWORD%% will probably work, but your keywords will be surrounded by %. So, for example, if your keyword is garcinia, in your prosper account it will show up as %garcinia%

You are absolutely right, i have try many time with different way, and final your way is best.
But right now i don't know what i did wrong, because on the Prosper202 never show any conversion, "NET" and "ROI" is in red (negative) or zero, i still not know why the conversion not show, i do with both ways direct linking and landing page too. you have seen this before?

Yes, that's correct. Here is your postback url for Maxbounty:
        http://domain.com/tracking202/static...&amount=#RATE#

In the above url, you will need to replace domain.com with the domain/subdomain of your prosper installation.

In order for this to work, you will need to be passing the subid into the s1 variable (chances are, that is what you are doing).

This is a global postback url, meaning it will work for every offer in Maxbounty. In Maxbounty, go to Profile, then scroll down to the bottom to the section where it mentions a "callback". For default callback select URL, and then enter the url I gave you above.
