Where Should My Adwords Ads be Pointing?

Hey warriors,
I recently started my first adwrods campaign, and am having a hard time figuring out what to do, how much to pay, what keywords to go with, and most importantly, where to send the traffic.
Currently, they are being sent to my main page, which when I think of it, may not be a great idea. Should I insert my affiliate link into the ad, and send them straight to the sales page? Is it considered kosher?

As I said, I'm very unexperienced with all of this, and only decided to start this campaign because I got a 75$ voucher. So far, I have 5 click, each at an average CPC of 0.36$.
So, what should I do? I want to maximize the sales I get from this small budget.

Thanks

I think it's not a good idea to link directly to offer using AdWords. Your account might get banned very soon.

there is a good chance to get banned by Google if you directly refer your traffic to your Affiliate page. select some keywords that have comparatively less competition. choose long tail keywords and make your site simple. your affiliate ad should be more attractive than your site content! remember it. you have just a few seconds to attract your traffic and as your main desire is to convert them into buyers so care about your ads more. that doesn't mean that you don't need Good content. content must be goo but Ad style must be better.

    1-Dont direct link.
    2-use longtail keywords.
3-And send your traffic to landing page(sales letter).

So you cannot do direct link to affiliate site with google adword? If I don't have a website, i'm screw? I have a 100$ adword voucher and planning on using with a CPA offer. I would appreciate if anyone could reply to this question. Thank you in advance warriors.

For some reason it seems as if I am still generating clicks, depiste my ad being disapproved. I have no idea how to get it approved again, as I am trying to link it to my blog, the main page, as in no promotional hype basically.
What else can I do? I don't have a sitemap on my site, and I have adsense, does that make any difference?

if your ads banned do you have the correct disp[lay and destination url matching ?

adsense can be on the page per say but not a good idea and i would scrub that, i would or at least consider a sit map but you may have good navigaigation structure, but make sure you dao have privacy, terms about us, contact us etc

Reported clicks can be delayed. This may account for the new clicks after the ad was disapproved.

Make sure your the display domain and the final destination domain match.

This means if your affilliate link goes to bobsdogtraining.com You would have to use bobsdogtraining as your display domain and your affiliate link as the destination url.

It is best not to direct link to an affiliate page.

!) You will have lots of competition and google only allows one matching domain to be displayed. This means you will have to outbid the site owner and all affiliates to even get you ad displayed.

      2) You are not building a list. If you send them to your own page and offer them a special report or review you have a chance to add them to your email list. This way even if they do not buy this product you can send them other offer at no addition cost. If they start buying from the products you recommend, they will be more likely to do so in the future.

If you do not have your own website, you really need to get one if you are serious about making money online. You are going to be working to hard for other people.

You can register a domain for about $10 and get hosting for about $5 to $10 a month.

Make sure your host can install wordpress and your are up and going.
