Why do they prohibit certain traffic sources

I was curious, why some CPA offers for example, say 'Social Media traffic strictly prohibited'. When I have a feeling that socia media traffic would work the best on this offer.
Or, they say, 'no promotion on job/careers related websites' for a freebie email submit offer - that is just plain strange!!
I was even thinking, maybe those are the sources that actually make money for them? So I tried a similar freebie email submit offer from another network, and put in on job/careers sites. But nothing.

What do you think? Do prohibited traffic sources usually give away where the money is for them, or that type of traffic is just not converting for them?

I tend to believe they already use these sources and would like "affiliates" to find new users from new sources.

imo it depends on their planning... it could be for quality purpose, could be just plain trial, could be advertisers don't want you to be where they are....

Could be several reasons, sometimes they are already running internal campaigns on it, sometimes they feel the quality of that source is too low

Sometimes those are not type of leads they want (quality leads for that type of CPA offer)
