Google Ads, what url's to use

I have an affiliate url that when you click on it, it redirects to the CPA offer destination and I don't know what to do with Google. They want me to have both the url that shows in the ad the same url that the client will actually be clicking on.
Google says the display url has to show where the person will be landing but if I use that url as the underlying directing url, I won't have my affiliate link anywhere, so how will I get credit?
Does the direct link landing page somewhere contain my affiliate link number so I'll get credit? I don't see my number anywhere.
I hope I made sense.
How do you do your Google ads if you're doing direct linking? Or can it not be done anymore? Please help.

ok to understand thus ruling is simple the display url must match the destination url, in the it is where the destination url lands that is important not what it looks like to start with.

so for example if you have a display url like

    mysite.com

and a destination url like hxxp://www.o7856tdougd*^$*$anysiteredirectaffiliatetracki ngoption.com but that lands on when pressed

    mysite.com
    mysite.com/mysubdirectory
    mysubdomain.mysite.com

or any other combo of that you are fine so long as the tld matches the display tld of mysite.com

**** very important - just because above is correct please do not confuse that with what you are doing meeting googles other terms and guidelines - most cpa offers / direct links would probably not pass googles guidelines - please speak with the cpa guys n girls here for clarification.

Let me see if I got this right.

I have my affiliate link directmetotheofferwithmynumber.com
      and a destination url cpaofferdoesntcareifigetpaid,com

So ok, when people click on the ad, they are actually triggering the invisible url directmetotheofferwithmynumber.com, right, while the displayed url is where they end up cpaofferdoesntcareifigetpaid.com.

So I could put this in the invisible url directmetotheofferwithmynumber.com/cpaofferdoesntcareifigetpaid(withcpa as a subdirectory) and can I then switch their positions and put cpa....com/direct....as a subdirectory? Is that right, I'm a little slow sometimes understanding things. If it's right, will it work? as long as you keep track of the .com's and will Google allow the switch because then they aren't identical?

Have I boxed you in with enough questions? I hope you're a patient teacher.

Why do you need an invisible url?

You can direct link, just put the merchants landing page url as your display url.

So in adwords: http://youraffiliatelink.com is the destination url

www.merchantsite.com is the display url and that has to be the url that the clicker lands on.

ok no from what your saying can not be done if i reading this correct you do not use or need the destination url to be used in the display url

so directmetotheofferwithmynumber.com does not need to show in the display url at all

so your display url does not need to look like this

        directmetotheofferwithmynumber.com/cpaofferdoesntcareifigetpaid

it only needs to look like this / your final destination url

        cpaofferdoesntcareifigetpaid,com

so just press the destination url provided by your cpa company with the affiliate tracking included, then where ever that lands that tld must be used in your display url.

let me use an example clickbank affilaite url and how it would be done / the cpa would be similar

the given affiliate / cpa link looks like this

        hxxp://7ffaassoz7t72xfk6bigwdxcv7.hop.clickbank.net/

/\ that is placed as my destination url in the adwords ad

then pressing that url i land here

        hxxp://www.grandecooking.com/?hop=testing

what we need to look at is the top level domain is

        grandecooking.com

from there that tld must be your display url and then from there you may add a sub domian or sub directory to best suit your needs so long as it meets your 35 char limit as set by adwords so your display could look like this / the sub domain or sub directory can match the site or any related term you wish to use.

        grandecooking.com
        www.grandecooking.com
        goodfood.grandecooking.com
        grandecooking.com/greattucka

        hth

edit also please note get proper advice from the cpa guys as a direct link is not your only concern, there are other g rules you need to abide by.
