Hey guys,

new to these forums. Can anyone explain what a CPA network is? And whether mobile apps can tap into these networks?

A cpa network s the middleman between affiliates who want to run CPA offers and merchants who own the offers

CPA networks bring advertisers and affiliates together and act as a sort of middleman.

Your best bet is to contact some cpa networks directly.

Here is a good list of cpa networks: http://www.warriorforum.com/ad-netwo...-networks.html

wow, looks like a very complicated network of associations. Does anyone have a pictograph that can help in explaining how all the networks/affiliates fit together?

I am trying to get a sense of how advertisers interact with their customers (end users) to and the revenue sharing model that they use.

      Thanks so much!

    Hey Misc86,

I'll try to answer your question as easy as possible (it is a rather complex system).

Advertisers (with offers in credit cards, automotive insurance, dating offers, etc) need people to create campaigns to promote their offers. (really just webmasters, networks or anyone with internet traffic)

Publishers want to make money on their traffic (because it's so valuable) so they find targeted offers (such as a credit card article posting a credit card or credit report offer) to monetize their websites/articles/email database/other source.

CPA is just cost per acquisition/action meaning that each offer has their own rules on when they pay for an action. It might confirm when a user downloads, clicks a button, confirms on their email, etc...

Payouts range depending on the offer, an example might be $2.00 per email submit or something.

Hope that helps! I'll try to find a picture to better illustrate it =)

To answer your other question, I know there are CPA offers for Facebook application installs and pay per download, but not sure about downloading mobile apps. If you own a mobile application you should be able to get banners/advertisements up on it, so CPA offers would work for it (you would just need mobile targeted landing pages)

Found this on Google if it helps:

It's not bad when you're in it for awhile:

CPA Advertiser, (aka affiliate) gets offers from --> CPA Network

CPA Network gets the offers from --> Merchants

So the CPA network is in the middle between the affiliates and merchants.

They take a percentage of every commission.

      Thanks Jexo and PPC-Coach!

      The picture really helped!

So if i understand you correctly:

      Three parties:
      A - Affiliate
      B - Brand/Vendor
      C - Customer

If I am a person who owns a website, who gets traffic, I can sign up with an an afflicate who is on a CPA network and get CPA deals (what would be an example of this), and so when users of my site come visit my site, if they go through with the CPA deal, then I get a cut of the proceeds? Let's say to buy a product (defined as the action), then the brand gets paid, and the affliate gets paid, and I get paid? Is my understanding correct?

If so, for something like this, what type of cut of total customer proceeds can i expect to recieve? the affiliate receive? the brand receive?

Cost Per Action also known as Pay Per Action is an online advertising pricing model where the advertiser pays for each specified action.
Let it be a purchase, an e-mail submit or a form submission.

Now, you must have got a good idea about what CPA networks are from the above posts.

P.S. You get paid when a user performs some action.
