FB ads & dating confusion

Okay im just now starting to tackle this Facebook ads down and i was gonna use dating, I see many on the right so i know others are having success,

Every Dating ad i created so far are having suggest bids $3.00 plus, this is unacceptable, When a offer pays 4.75 per lead anything less then 100% conversion rate would be a loss, Can any one give tips on how to get the suggested bid down, At first i figured the more keywords you add the lower the bid goes but it actually goes up or down based on keywords selected,

So how can anyone profit with less then 100% conversion if the bid is just shy of $1.75 the pay out because i know they are not gonna get 100% conversion rate

Simply set your bid under the recommended bid . So if its $0.80 place your bid at $0.40 you will still be able get clicks and ad views.

As stated above you can bid lower than the "suggested amount".

However, the real keys to success are click through rate (CTR) and conversion rate (CR).

High CTR leads to lower and lower suggested bids on Facebook over time. To be profitable your CTR usually needs to be better than 0.1%. CTRs of 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4%, etc. are achievable with a little testing. I've heard of people getting CTR as high as 1% but I've never got any that high myself.

And as you pointed out a high conversion rate is good. For dating, 10% to 25% conversion rates are achievable depending on the offer, landing page, etc.

I can't even get impressions to my dating offers. I don't know what is going on. I've been slowing increasing my bids and now I'm actually OVER the high recommended amount on a couple. I've just been trying to see if consistent impressions would ever start, baffled. I'll get a few hundred every few hours and that's it.

I started a new bid yesterday and started the bid at half of the high recommended. I received 8 impressions and then nothing. I've been gradually increasing it, now its almost at the hgih recommended bid, and still 8 impressions.

I have no idea what is going on but its incredibly frustrating.

I don't think the bid price even matters. I just raised one of my bids to 5.00 to amuse myself and watch it get no impressions. It got 640 and stopped. I don't know what is going on.

Well no, the point is that my bid price doesn't matter. For whatever reason, it appears Facebook is giving me no impressions regardless of my bid.

Im afraid dating on Facebook is something old that is not really an idea thing to do anymore.. in the past that was almost every ad you'd see on Facebook, so they cracked down and now it's extremely expensive so in general the main ones you see are the merchants going direct..

my recommendation is try something else..

Dating is a might competitive field, perhaps a sly approach attracting dating types without using the word would lower costs, of course landing on a facebook page instead of an external link lowers cost too.
I understand that the interests (keywords) are Anded, you might watch the estimated reach on the right column as you add keywords, fewer words spread over ore ads might shake things up.

If you're new to this game, go international. Start with non-english speaking countries and you will have better numbers to work with.

Then, keep in mind that the suggested bid doesn't mean a lot. Start bidding about 50% of what FB suggests (low-end) and look for ads with a high CTR. 0.1% would be the very minimum that an ad has to reach for you not to drop it.

Once you have some good ads running drop the bad ones and start lowering the bid. It will give you a much lower CPC and if you have a good EPC you will see that the game will start changing and the numbers will start working on your favor.

ok guys heres a few pointers for those not receiving impressions. Check to see your budget level for that campaign you set, you may have maxed out already. Number 2, if your not at or above lowest suggested bid your just not going to get the impressions you expect so bid 5 cents above suggested and once you get a ctr rate above 0.1% drop bid n make sure its a cpc campaign NOT cpm. Only change to cpm after ctr is 0.5% then ur rolling. Also for dating niche stay well clear of western countries unless you got the money to be spending alot per day. Go international and choose CPA offers for those countries only ie mexico, argentina etc. Use google translate.(free tool) to change to the countries language. Now you will see suggested bids drop, keep your targetting tight ie less than 30,000 reach, demographs ie female between 34-40. interests put as many as you just keep an eye on your audience rech as you do it and suggestes bid. Use Alexa to find out demographs of your targeted user ie sites they might visit etc plug into alexa use demograph on ur ads but use it as a guide dont take it as solid data.

Also if your getting impressions but no one is clicking take a look at ur ad copy, image, title and description. Is your demograph targetting too broad?

    I hope that helps.

    Hi, new here.
Have you checked the parameters you've set on 'relationship'? If you haven't set it to single, it won't show any impressions at all. It will get approved but no impressions.

Most people making money on dating on facebook make it with international traffic not USA, canada, or UK, those countries are too expensive and the ROI sucks, accordingly

Like Junne said, dating is hard, competitive and gives you lots of headaches on Facebook, especially by ad approvals.

For dating, try out PoF, get Tom Fang's guide and start.
