OK, I'm not getting too nervous just yet, but I decided to try and market an offer by using direct linking to one of my offers. I went to buysellads.com and purchased some space on one particular site that seemed like it would attract attention to the offer I posted. In the last 3 days I manages to get 36,000 impressions and not a single click. Can any of you super marketers out there point me in the right direction?

We would need details.. what's your offer/where are you advertising/what's your creative like?

These are questions some people won't answer for obvious reasons, but as a starter, post the details here and I'm sure we can help you out

How does the content on your site compare to the ad you're placing?

I am also an advocate of utilizing CPM while you're sorting out click traffic to make sure you're getting a few bucks on your 10k a day in traffic.

If you've got questions on CPM feel free to drop me a note i'd love to help

The most important is put banner that is relevant to the site content. if you get less than 1 click for 5000 impressions (CTR 0.02) replace the banner.

There could be lots of reasons :

    1. Demographics of your audience must match with what you are offering

    2. It is important that your ad is positioned visible area . Preferably above the fold

    3. It is also important that you use compelling ads

    4. Quality of traffic is also important

These could be some of the factors why your ad is failing .

Please check them one by one.

    Hope it helps

You've got to build this site out more. There's nothing here that would compel me to take any type of action.

I would recommend that you do research on the traffic source first and make sure that it relates to the ad placement.

Check out Quantcast, you can get general demographics for the ad placement.
