Hey Guys,

I wanted to ask if it is possible/allowed to rotate my AdSense with another network?

Thanks for your help!

Absolutely using multiple ad networks to maximize your CPM is a great step.

It is more a question of if you have the traffic to warrant the effort of a complex ad chain with CPM floors and passbacks to multiple networks.

We typically will set a CPM floor and then utilize ad sense to cleanup whatever isnt filled below that floor.

I've done this before, but my earnings dropped substantially when my Adsense ads weren't showing : ( so needless to say I stopped doing it and only use adsense now for those specific sites

      adrwcav:

What were you using in place of your adsense tags?

Was it another CPM offer that deferred to ad sense at a certain pricepoint or were you just A/B testing adsense against another offer?

Its allowed. I personally always rotate networks to see which network generates more revenue for me

Yes, it's allowed. However, I think it would be better to rotate not only CPM ads, but also CPA offers, which use a different model and can give you better numbers.

    Thanks for your replies guys!

@Kent - I use AdSense and Komoona, I wanted to throw in a CPM network to see what makes the most sense...
@mtmjohn - Awesome! would you be able to link me to a script that does just that?
@williamrs - what CPA network would you recommend?

    Cheers.

I recommend you get yourself a google DFP account.
Its connected with adsense, so its a very powerful tool.
Its also free up to a certain amount of monthly impressions.

I used this for a long time until i needed access to a RTB + CPA tracking.
So i use OpenX Enterprise now, also a powerful tool, but it have a monthly cost

          Pete,

Depending on how much traffic you're doing it may make sense for us to partner together for CPM traffic.

          lets get in touch!

    good ideas here!

@blastbob - will definitely look in to DFP!
@Kent - not muh traffic at this point, not ready for CPM yet...

In the mean while i found a surprising (and pretty awesome) solution with in my Komoona tool!! contacted their support and they let me join a beta feature they have.... They now let you use AdSense along side their tool, so basically AdSense runs normally and if someone decided to buy that spot they will swap the AdSense with their ads!!

I think this is a great way to create a win win situation! either I make the regular AdSense revenue or make more by selling the spot directly for the price i ask...

    what do you think?

    Cheers y'all!

Sure you can rotate with CPM, CPA ads, but not with other CPC networks like Adbrite, BidVertiser etc, it's prohibited.
