How to solve the "Inaccurate Display URL" problem in Adwords

by 10 comments
Hello!

I am just starting out with CPA promotions and i just started an Adwords campaign but it was disspaproved because the Display URL didn't exist.

What Can I do? My affiliate link is something like: h ttp: // erhskfguejrtd.com/6343858-34435 (just an example)

So, the real URL has nothing to do with the product itself.

what do you suggest?

Regards,

Chewie.

Hmm... interesting problem, and one a lot of people have when starting out. I would suggest you use some kind of tracking with a domain name.

wouldn't you use a redirect on a domain name or use the ad banner on your own url

Just put the domain name you land on after clicking your aff link as your display url and put your affiliate link as your destination url.

    Thanks for your advices.

This particular Advertiser doesn't allow to use the trademark names in the Ad.

In the other hand, google doesn't allow to use "bridge" pages or redirects.

    What do you suggest?

There is an easy way to do this. just enter your affiliate link and whatever it redirects you to is the url you use as your display url. For instance if your AFF url is marketcomp.sub/ahsgdjah or whatever you put that in as destination. then you enter that url into the browser and if it sends you to bugs.com/cars than that is your display it works every time.

as I explained, the problem with this method is that the advertiser doesn't allow to use hteir trademark names.

Ya thats why you use the name that shows up when you enter the url. Or you can head over to godaddy get a .info name for a $1 and then fom there use there domain forwarding and forward it to your affiliate url solves all problems.

I am having this same problem...

My affiliate link is something like x.jkllsdi.sadofjidf.com (not actual) which I have placed in the destination URL field.

I have placed the actual landing page URL foreclosurestore.com in the display URL and Google keeps crapping on it saying that it is inaccurate.

What's the deal? I have many other campaigns that are working just fine... weird!
