Hi there,

I've got a blog (WP) where I review various products one by one. I'm getting organic traffic, on the side I've got an opt in form. I use AWeber.

My opt in rate now is under 3%. I think this is rather low. Though the site isn't a squeeze page as such, it's rather a source of info, with a opt in possibility for a free report.

What's the average opt in rate for a site like mine?

What can I do to increase it?

    Try these tips ...

    1. If you have solid contents which are getting lots of daily visitors , then it woud be advisable to twick the content and systematically force your visitors to optin before accessing the content .

    2. Make also sure to try different positioning of your op-tin box and focus on the once that performs the best

    3. Make also sure that your op-tin box is highly visible .

    Hope it helps,
    Mike

I have the opt in box on the right within sidebar, and I'm using a plug-in that makes the sidebar float, so even when the visitor scrolls down the box is still visible.

How can I lock my content?

I'd test lots of graphics with lots of titles to see which combination works better. Do not be shy on testing everything. This industry is about testing! It takes time but you'll finally find the answer.

I've set up a pop up opt in form that appears everytime a new page is opened.

Is it better to make the form pop up only on the index page, or on all pages? Isn't it a little spammy?
