Using PPC increased profit to $9k/mo

Just wanted to share something with the group. I've put together a site, got it ranked high in Google, and was generating about $1500/mo profit with it. After tweaking it more and more I realized how slow of a pace I was heading on in regards to increasing my profits month by month. It was then I started experimenting with PPC.

At first I bid really low on Google ($0.20/click for a $10/form CPL) and then tweaked that to find out that at around $0.70/click my revenue shot through the roof and conversions stayed very high. I now spend about $4k/mo on Adwords and another $1k on MSN/Yahoo and track them both as seperate profit centers. I also tried other secondary or tertiary PPC sites with terrible results (aka no ROI).
I've now applied this to a few new-to-me products from ClickBank and CJ and I'm starting to see some returns although very small in comparison. Test Test Test your products or CPA offer with PPC. It does not have to be expensive and if you can receive 5 dollars for every one you invest, it's well worth it. Just monitor it, tweak it, monitor again and record it all in a spreadsheet.

About a week ago I tried a new pet-related niche out and within a few days made a $960 sale with 15% commission. My PPC cost was only $12. A good start.

How do I find these keywords to use in PPC? I like using semrush.com since it digs into both SEO and PPC keywords that competitors are buying. Great tool to subscribe to if you can afford it. If anyone wants me to run a competitor or similar site through it let me know and I'll try to accomodate. Just PM me the site you want me to check, whether you want an SEO or PPC list of keywords, and send me your email address.

Try PPC out today. It works very well if done right and you could see your profits increase dramatically.

Great to hear and congrats on your results. a quick question regarding your adwords ppc campaign. what sort of landing page did you use, how developed was it. What I mean is was the site a sort of single page + about + TC + Privacy etc etc... or was it more like a few pages of info and then all the other pages, or was it a big authority site?

with the clickbank products are you direct linking?

    thanks

Would you by any chance be able to PM me the website that you're using? I would love to see an example so that I myself can get started

    Thanks

Sorry can't share the niche. It's too good of a thing to take the chance.

As for how the site is setup, it's a Wordpress install with the framed-in affiliate site. Google didnt approve it at first, so I removed the frame, got a Google approval, and added the frame back in.

The affiliate has a high conversion site so why not use what works rather than reinvent the wheel?

Clickbank products are direct links with MSN/Yahoo. Google does not permit direct links so I might try some redirection. People have mentioned Prosper202. Any thoughts on that?

Prosper202 is great IMO....and as far as increasing your profit! Good Job!

I will tell yea you did it right though. You build a sold business or website and then scaled it up with paid traffic.

I know that everything is relative here, but are you recommending to stay away from 2nd tier PPC networks and just concentrate on Google, Yahoo, MSN)?

I totally agree with what you are saying.

I have a group that I work with on some campaigns.

We ran a new one today and had over 200 opt ins.

Social media and all of that is fine but if you are looking for a fast start do some kind of ppc.

It doesn't have to be Google there are smaller search engines you can work on until you get comfortable like Seven Search.
