URLs and PPV adonnetwork

Hi All,

I just have a question regarding URL's for PPV. Here is what I have done so far:

I have scrapped a few thousand URLs in scrape box targeting the keywords I wanted to use. I exported all of the URLs to a text file, ready to upload to Adonnetwork.

Then I read the upload form and the URLs are to be no more then 50 characters. But some of the URLs are much longer then that.

Do I need to trim to the domain route, I have to admit I'm a little confused about this.

Also one last question if I may. If I'm using PPV traffic to a landing page, what sort of CTR would you normally expect to get around?

Or would you direct link with an iFramed domain?

Thanks for your time

Steve

you could just trim to 50 characters or just trim down to the domain.. id say with adon its probably easiest to just trim to the domain as they dont have quite as much traffic as other ppv networks

      Thanks Chris,

I'll do just that then. What are your views on sending the traffic, direct or to an LP?

      Thanks again

The only way to really know Steve is to test a few LP variations and test direct linking as well. I predominantly run most of my PPV campaigns with a lander, but have had the odd campaign where direct linking has proved to be the best option.

It all depends on how well the actual site sells them on the offer.

Also when you trim down to the domain name, fairly obvious, but ensure that you are removing very obvious targets like facebook.com and plentyoffish.com. These sites will just bring massive amounts of untargeted traffic and will wipe your budget clean.

Not to mention youtube.com they pretty much hammered me, I'll test a few different variations of LPs then also direct just to see what happens. what could possibly go wrong

          Thanks
