Starting with CPA without a website?

Profile picture of the author Richard Moog by Richard Moog Posted: 01/22/2009
Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to start with CPA without a website?

Then I read that it is very difficult to get accepted by a CPA Network,is this true?

I am a newbie with CPA,so i need to learn a lot and not so much money to spend.

Can you advice me how to start or is it too difficult for a newbie to start?

Thanks for your help.

    Hi
You should have to get interested in the processes of CPA.
Money is the effect of it.

Most networks dont approve your application if you dont have a website.
A good idea is to buy a heavy traffic website.

That's a good idea. How much is the minimum traffic which is acceptable Would 50 uniques a day be too low to get accepted?

Motive Interactive does not require a website to be a member of our CPA network, but we would need to know how you drive traffic. (search, email) i'm not 100% sure about the other networks but i can tell you if you call them and tell them how you are driving traffic without a site they will listen and if you are a player they will take you

You can start without a website. Explain to the network that you plan on doing PPC, direct linking from the ad to the merchant page. Or just start a website for free at blogger or wordpress.org.

Are you studying any CPA courses right now? If so, it may be helpful to tell the CPA network that you are currently a student of (whoever) and plan following their course of action.

Some CPA networks are more strict than others. You should be able to find at least a couple that will let you sign up without a website.

thanks for joining Motive Rick! When you said you were interested and then sent me a PM i went in and talked to Luke our network manager - he reviews all affiliates before they go to a affiliate manager. You were open to a phone call, that makes all the difference as some people do not want to talk and the approval process will then take much longer. Anyway, i'm glad you found the process easy and thanks again for joining us. Let's do big things!!!

Is it really compulsory for one to be open to a phone call? What if the person who signed up is an international affiliate who doesn't reside in the USA but signed up anyway, with a virtual address & phone number?

Since you won't be able to reach him, then how do you handle this Brendan?

    Desperately need to know,
    Thanks,

    Olatunde.

We have many affiliates who run websites made out entirely with our datafeeds and templates.

    My answers :
    • for the first question, i'm sure you'll upsolutly need a website to start business with CPA.
    • a little bit not true, but some network need u to answer some questions and need u to call them to be accepted into their network.
    • To start business in CPA, beside reading this forum, i believe you need to apply on a CPA network, try CJ first as ur trial or some of company that do affiliate programs. Try to put their ads into a blogger (which mean u have to setup a blog), and put some article about the products. Promote ur blog, and see how much traffic u can earn and money that come to ur aff account.

    Goodluck!

There is so much fraud out there that networks must be very cautious with who they do business with. This is to protect legitimate affiliates of the network, advertisers, and the network itself.

We deal with a ton of international affiliates and this is why our network manager and myself work 24/7. We use skype, IM, and email to talk to affiliates about how they are going to market our offers. In most cases, someone who is serious about Affiliate Marketing has access to a phone or at least a cell phone. If we are given fake info in the sign up process we take that as indication that this person is not a real Affiliate. If there is another reason why they used "fake" info i would hope they would connect me or Luke our network manager to discuss this.

    Rick,

It is 100% possible to get accepted without a website of your own. When I started out, I was accepted to 11 of the 12 CPA networks I applied to (I was accepted to the 12th within 8 hours of being turned down using one simple method I learned from a mentor of mine), but I had done my research in advance.

I knew what they were looking for, what they wanted to hear, and what they wanted to see.

There are a lot of things you can do to make the CPA networks actually "want" you to be a member of their network. The biggest would be to act, look, and talk like a professional, not a never-done-this-before newbie.

With all the CPA talk going around, the networks are being inundated with new applications and are becoming very picky. Saying the right things and setting yourself up to look professional - which does not require a website - are more important than ever.

Don't give up, the rewards are outstanding!

depends on the network .. some networks are real pricks, and others are much more affiliate-friendly (like Copeac)

    Hi Rick,

I was in the same boat as you. I didn't have a web site (I don't even know how to set one up) and I was getting turned down by all the networks. To tell you the truth, I almost gave up and was just about to when I found a wso here that showed me what to do.

I don't want to say exactly what the wso tells you to say and do because it wouldn't be fair to the fellow the put it out, but it really turned things around for me. I set up a special blog to show the cpa networks and - thanks to the wso book - I knew just what to say and how to answer the cpa people.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that you can get accepted without a web site, so don't give up. If I can do it, a 43 year year old, work-from-home mom, then I know you can too. I don't know it the fellow running the wso is still running it, but his name was Joshua Taylor.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the nice words, Trudy. You've done a great job and I'm really impressed with what you've accomplished. You definitely take the cake for taking action!

Rick, Trudy is absolutely right in that you can get accepted without having a site of your own. Don't give up, the rewards are well worth it.

Oh, and yes, my wso is still going on. Check out the link below...

Hi some people consider landing pages or a sqweeze page are not website. So this is the method they are telling you, you can start without a with a website.

However, landing pages, sqweeze pages and sales pages are all websites. Remember anything that's considered html and/or needs to be upload to your hosting is a website.

There are free places like blogspot and weebly that you can create a landing page or a website for free but I don't recommend them. Hope this helps!

You should phone networks when you submit application and explain them your methods. My friend dont have prestigious sites,he's doing PPV marketing,so when entering networks send them screenshots of previous earnings on other networks.

If you need hosting for your website choose hostgator, because you are rookie if you have any problems with website you contact them and everything is fixed after 5 minutes.
