Do CPA networks have to approve offers before you can promote?

Hi i'm a newbie CPA marketer and just signed up to Dandingo. They now want me to 'apply' to promote a CPA offer. Are all networks like this or just Dandingo? It's slightly annoying due to it being quite a time consuming task of applying for networks, then when you're finally in you can't just start promoting offers.

The idea is safe to prevent scammers but for those that want to jump right in, it makes the process a bit longer.

Can anybody shed some light on this please?

    Yes, some networks do that. In neverblue, some offers requires to apply for approval but not all offers. Like you said it is to prevent scammers.

    But my question, why it is annoying for you? Or are you just afraid that they will not approve your traffic methods? Follow their rules and ask your AM for help. Also, if your planning bluefart method to promote there offers, I suggest just forget it.

      Yes certain offers will only be open to proven affiliates or need approval from the advertiser, the reason for this as mentioned is to ensure that you can send quality and legit leads through.

      Also other offers have stringent guidelines you need to follow, like christian dating sites are very particular on the images, ad copy, landing page etc you use as you are representing their wholesome ideal and image.

      Get in touch with your Am and they should be able to push it through faster for you.

      Thanks for the help guys. Its only annoying because i just want to start promoting offers but it seems like i have to jump through so many hoops. The nature of the beast i guess. I do like the fact that any Tom, Dick or Harry can't just promote the offers. What do you mean by bluefart methods? As in blackhat tactics?

    Yes I think most networks ask you to apply the offers before promoting them.After applying these offers you can just talk with the manager and ask him to approve them for you.You don't have to wait for a long time.

    I think that all networks work differently. Best bet is to talk to your AM for sure.

    I've seen offers that require approval because they have cap limitations, require specific approval on how the ads will be placed, etc. Usually, the extra hoops you have to jump through are worth it (less people on the offer, less competition, etc).

    Many networks do this (often they wont even have some offers listed as they will be "private" and only available to top publishers), some networks will make you "apply" or "request approval" for offers, typically it's because of the terms of the offer as the merchant is strict on either the quality of type of traffic

    Most networks give you the option to apply for the offer. This way, the advertiser and the affiliate manager can see what type of traffic you're sending to the offer and if they want it or not.

    I understand that it can be a pain sometimes, because I also like to start promoting something as soon as I find it or as soon as I think of an idea for it. My suggestion is to form a relationship with your affiliate managers. Chat with them. Keep in contact with them. Show them that you're serious about IM. Then they will work harder to get you approved quicker for offers.

    At PeerFly only about 1% of our offers require manual approval and we have to require manual approval on those offers because the advertiser is a little more strict on the type of traffic they want to receive. As long as you have a traffic history with us you won't have any issues getting approved. This is how it is with most networks
