How much to spend on testing/finding the sweet spot

I'm running my very first POF camaign right now and i'm spending way more than i'm getting back so far, but i don't feel like i have enough data to narrow down my converting demographic (i decided to test by age groups, from 18 to 25). I feel like i found THE ONE, but i definitely need more data to be sure, however getting that data costs money.. So basically at what point should i stop? BTW it's an e-mail submit offer that pays $1.30.

Also, i'm only testing one creative (which is generally a mistake i guess), but i felt that it was a really good one, so i didnt make any more.

You need more than one creative for testing, if you don't have several then your not really testing much.. so i recommend starting off with 5 different ad texts with 5 different images (this will yield 25 different ads), this is a decent starting point - then see which one(s) convert the best..

Typically I try to spend the offer amount per creative to see if it's going to convert or not.. but keep in mind certain offers may convert better or worse on certain days and or certain times
