Decent amount of seed money?

How much would you consider to be an appropriate amount of seed money for a new campaign?

I assume you usually test with a small amount, then invest more. What is that small amount?

I understand this could vary depending on your situation, but there must be a certain amount of data which can show consistent enough results to question further investment.

Thanks!

Try to invest atleast 3X the payout of the offer for testing a campaign.

It really depends on the traffic source?

I think the question is, when starting in CPA, whats a decent amount of capital to start out with? $200? $500? $1000? $2500?

Well it depends on the traffic source and what you're promoting. $200 could be right for what you're doing but you may need $1,000. You need to provide more information in order for anyone to help you.

    Thanks for the advice!

I'd say this 'seed' money would go straight into my education. $1000 sounds good, and I'd although I'd be careful not to squander, I wouldn't be at a loss if it disappeared. So long as I learn something.

I think first priority would be getting accepted into a couple of networks. I know there is plenty of info on how to go about that so I won't pester.

    Thanks again.

$1000 is a good sum of money to start with as seed capital. Having said that, it is important to have a source of income that can fund your campaigns till the time your campaigns become profitable enough to fund themselves. In any business working capital is what sees you through rather than see capital.

Some forums like PPC Coach have a section devoted to earning from free traffic sources so that you can easily fund your campaigns without falling short of money to pay your bills. It is also important to have someone guide you - you can take help from this forum or join paid PPC coaching.

    Really depends on your experience.
Generally I would spend like $25-50 ($25 for smaller offer) to test out see if there's any conversions.
If there isn't, kill it and move one to another offer

If there's, spends 3x payout on each keyword, cut out the non converting.

    Stick to one traffic source

If you are asking how much is an advisable sum of money to start with PPC to CPA, I would say it really depends on the niche, on the network, on the payout, etc., but generally, speaking, $300-400 can be enough for the start.
