Interesting share, I guess they were using a browser glitch to re-share their ad on every persons wall they viewed it...kind of sounds a lot like the usual annoying apps all over facebook, guess this one didn't ask, or hacked Facebook or something to that effect.. heh

That's a stupid statement. Companies get sued all the time. Every network I know gets sued at least once a month by someone.

MaxBounty got sued by Facebook, you know what happened? THey are bigger than ever...

Oh, and Facebook gets sued DAILY.

Is it a stupid statement to say that Adscend (or any CPA Network) can have potential financial issues because of a lawsuit with facebook?

Yes or no. Remember, Facebook has settled these for pennies on what they demand and then just ask companies to "play by their rules"

Let's give it at least a week to see what the response is.

        Good point however.

Facebook has no justification here, it's the affiliate's that were doing this, lawl.

Sadly, affiliates will be banned because of this, but I'm glad I never did facebook cpa stuff.

Honestly I think Adscend will be fine.

I don't know if it was just the affiliates, but thats what Adscend is alleging.

Why? Facebook and CPA is a legit way to make money.

Adscend and/or its affiliates are alleged to be frauding and scamming facebook users.

Sorry to say this but you are so wrong, Just as if a affiliate signs up and has other people run his offer and they run fraud, The affiliate is responsible for any traffic that came from that account no matter who did the deed.

Same goes for a network if they are being sued cause of something a affiliate did then that company is the guilty party because they aloud it.

I am sure these are settled out of court
nobody wants the publicity and expense of going to court for petty stuff like this, Facebook has bigger fish to fry

These things are actually quite common for big boys... And this is the reason big boys keep lots of lawyers with them lol...

And I feel like Adscend is not a new network so they know what they do... Might be some one else did on their name ...

    Who Knows

    Regards

Yes I hope thats all it is.

Wish Adscend the best - hopefully no hiccups with their network.

      Big boys? lol...

You mean big boys like Copeac? Or big boys like Azoogle (Epic)?

Copeac shut down. Epic still owes people money.

The reality is... there is a potential for financial issues when lawsuits arise. Or an advertiser doesn't pay... Or many other reasons.

Dude, totally off topic...but how are you so patient with these tools?

I read your posts, they are all 100% spot on...you clearly know your ****. Yet it boggles my mind how/why you take the time to respond to 90% of these clowns.

Agreed, Fehzan is a good friend of mine. I don't believe he or Jeremy had any of the intentions that are alleged in the lawsuit. I hope for the best for them.

I do not know why companies get so greedy, You make a good name for your self like copeac and Epic (Azgoogle) you have thousands of publishers making you plenty of money and that is not enough.

I am not sure about details on Epic as i didn't see or read anything but i read what copeac did awhile ago something with the credit card as they claimed free trials as they wasn't gonna charge you then charged 99.00 instantly. I forget exact details because i do not dwell on trash to long and I am sorry maybe i am just to blunt but that is a scum bag move in my book. I do not feel a bit sorry for copeac, They screwed a lot of money out of earned commission because they wanted to steal from peoples credit card. Trust me that company got what they deserved. Sad thing is there is nothing stopping them from using a fake alias and starting a new.

No worries come judgement day they will defiantly get whats coming to them. How anyone can sleep at night knowing they are making a living ripping people off or just right out stealing from them make me sick.

That sums it up. It's like drug dealing. If you know what you're doing is wrong and you grow more and more in popularity it's bound to catch up to you. Adscend should have just stopped the fraud while they were ahead.

I cant stand those stupid fake videos that just post on your wall & then like and share it to your friends.

However on the other hand, it was a good way to tell which of your friends are demented individuals.. LOL you should see some of those "videos"

    That makes an incorrect assumption.

Content Locking is a tool - they have no way to know where the traffic is coming from. Ie, a person uses to lock content. In this case, a publisher MAY HAVE locked some content and then promoted it an unethical way.

It's like you going to sue Facebook because someone sent you a spam going to their Facebook page.

All networks are well aware of who their top publisher's are. Considering this was a major scam that was happening on FB that likely affected millions upon millions of people, Adscend knew where these millions of impressions were coming from. These publisher's were likely well compensated for their work. If these publisher's were caught and questioned by Facebook, maybe they sold out Adscend and revealed conversations they had with the owners? Who knows for sure.

Reading into this case a little more, Adscend is screwed, there is no other way to put it. The Attorney General held a press conference announcing this lawsuit against Adscend coordinated with Facebook where they labeled Adscend as scammers. If their case has no grounds and Facebook's attorney and the Attorney General don't have a rock solid case as you are suggesting, they could get in BIG trouble for slandering Adscend's brand. For Washington State's Attorney General, Rob McKenna, (who is running for governor by the way) it would be political suicide. It would also be mindless for Facebook to get involved into something risky before their IPO.

I'm sure Adscend has hired bloggers and a PR firm in a last attempt to convince the public that everything is fine and they're just being sued by some novices who have nothing better to do with their time, but no one with half a brain is going to buy it. It's Facebook and the Attorney General. The damages likely exceed $100m, the evidence is likely rock solid, and there are likely more lawsuits to come against others in the industry.

What do you mean I'm so far wrong? I stated facts about the case that were merely detailed in the press conference.

Where is your reason as to why you believe I'm wrong?

Your response only brings more reason to question if Adscend is paying you to defend their image and downplay this case by making blanket statements that they are innocent and discrediting anyone who questions you.

    Shame on you.
