Promoting Cpa with the Adside network

Hi
Has anyone tried to promote offers with Adside? They do ppc ads, but different to the search engines because they don't work with keywords, which makes me suspicious.

No, not adsense, it's pay per click. Their site is adside dot com

The CPC seems pricey. I mean, if I were to run a iPhone 4 CPA offer paying me $1.15/lead and the CPC is $1.59 on Aside, it's meaningless.

They say it's better to promote higher paying offers - I had an offer that paid out $20 and it would have cost me $10-$15 to get a conversion. I'm new at this, but I think this is too much?

If you are able to get a conversion with every 10-15 dollars you spend, for a $20 CPA offer, your profit margin is anywhere from 33% - 100%. If you can do that constantly, why not? Spend $15, make $20 -- spend $150, make $200 -- spend $1,500, make $2,000. I'd do it all day if I were you .

Depending on your offer, landing page, etc -- the conversion rate varies. But let's assume it might be 1:30.

So, assuming you're promoting a credit card offer paying out $20/lead. Then 30 clicks x $1.75 is a waste of money in theory.

I'm actually going to test them out for a weight loss offer. The cool thing I like about them is the 2-step click....front side ad text and back side ad text.

    Front side ad:
Want to lose weight right Now?

    Back side ad:
    Use this coupon code.
    1) Enter your email and info
    2) Pay for shipping cost!

And if people are really interested in the ad, they would click. Meaning the click would be more valuable.

Of course, that's in theory, so let's see this goes...

From my experience, low conversion rates, poor quality traffic and overpriced clicks.

No disrespect, but this is too general a statement. Can you be more specific?
What was your offer? What was your CPC? What kind of testing did you do?
Did you have a landing page, direct, payout of your offer?

I have never worked with them. However, the fact taht they don't use keywords doesn't make anything suspicious. Some well-known platforms like AdSonar and Pulse360 also are placement based (I assume that this is how they work...).

So don't worry about this, it can be a bit tough for you in the beginning if you are used to work only with keywords, but once you learn how to play this game I'm sure that you won't have problems to get profitable bidding on placements.

honestly, I just did a search in google adside review and first thing I see on the headlines "ADSIDE SCAM WASTE OF TIME POOR QUALITY CLICKS" someone on blackhatworld did a campaign test and a few other members on pissedconsumer.com did say to stay away from them. Bad multiple reviews on different websites can't be good for their reputation
