PPC (Google, MSN, Yahoo) websites for CPA.

Hi All,

This is my first post so helllo!

I am a PPC analyst (well head of department) by trade and am now looking to get into promoting CPA offers via this medium.

I have worked both in house and in an agency envirnoment working with large budgets, however this was always promoting a companies product/service directly.

Being new to promoting of CPA offers via PPC I am wondering what types of websites Google will not slap. Some sort of mini site with a couple of pages and a privacy policy perhaps?

What about Yahoo and MSN? When migrating a campaign over to these platforms from google do you use the same website or do you create new landing pages? If the latter are they just signle page websites?

Are there any templates/themes out there any of you would recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Ryan.

Well everyone here is going to tell you different i will tell you my side, i have a lot expirience in PPC, with CPA also i had few campaigns, CPA is just like every other campaign you need quality and you need to find low cost clicks. I changed few times campaigns betwen Google and Bing never had any issues i just kept the same landing page every time.

      Cheers

        Thanks for your reply SXI.

Do you use single page websites for your landing pages or create a website with a few pages?

If a small website do you use a blog style which looks like a personal blog that's reviewing a products?

I have seen the following and am wondering iif this could work with PPC. My only issue is that it may not be overtly promoting a product enough:

        w f .com /complete-web-sites-sale/357634-only-25-gorgeous-bodybuilding-niche-blog-another-premium-blog-package-verena.html

I am just trying to find out what style of site works well.

        Thanks again,

        Ryan.

Honestly at this point - Google is one of the last places I go.. I'd start off with Bing (or even 7search) and then once I find something working then take it to Google. Personally I find Google a pain in the rear to work with, however sometimes they do have the quantity and quality. That's just me though..

i think its ok if you use the same landing page for all of them. and direct advertisement / sign up page in any PPC is prohibited. so you have to use a media to pass your visitors from PPC to the money page. and that's the landing page. it should be natural and shouldn't be full of ads only.

I'd start out with bing. google has such extreme quality scores that it will be impossible to promote cpa offers without getting a daily ban bing is though to, but doable.

Yea, i agree with Chris. Google adwords is very strict, they hate affiliates, DO NOT promote rebills, email/zip submit offers with them. You risk the chance of having your account banned pretty quick.

For good landing pages, search query "home security" on Google. You'll see a ton of ADT affiliates promoting offers. Also satellite TV offers. They have really good landing pages that Google likes. You can paste in their sites instead of clicking the ads.

Your landing page is going to depend on the type of product you promote. I find these examples are really good for CPA offers.

Make a landing page that is relevant to offer you are promoting - explain the benefits and why they should apply to the offer.
