Question about the popular opinion on the best quality traffic on POF

Hey guys.

So it seems like everyone agreed that the best quality traffic on POF is users with low log-in count.

My question is: why?

I haven't ran nearly enough POF campaigns to test this for myself, so I wanted to ask those of you who have. Are users with the low log-in count really much better than the rest?

Personally i feel that the fresher the user is, the less likely it would be to pull him/her away from POF (in other words click on an ad) since they are new to the site and are still exploring. In contrast, the older users have seen POF through and through and might be more likely to try something new (click on an ad).

That's just something I was thinking about for the past couple of minutes and now I would like to hear your opinion on it.

The only people who say that are dating affiliates. The reason is because new users haven't seen a bazillion dating ads yet.

Exactly, they haven't had time to get ad blind yet. Think about the people who log on every day for 6 months. They've seen all the ads and they've seen them to death. However, the new guy or the guy who only logs in sometimes hasn't had the exposure to the ads therefore is more likely to be influenced by them.

You could also look at it this way:

If you are able to bring something unique to your ad's or if you are using a new offer than is not yet saturated you may be able to very successfully target high login users - they are still on POF because they havent found someone yet.. and they may now be thinking that they never will on POF. They may also now consider a 'premium' paid dating service if they feel they could meet someone on there.

Infact while writting this I thought up an angle you could possibly use to target high login count users -

"Fed up of never meeting anyone on free dating sites? Join our exclusive and private site where we hand pick guaranteed matches"

    Hope this helps

Its simple. Low log in user are noobs. You can easily force them to sign up for your dating offer

It's higher quality no question. That's why in a free market self-serve system like POF has, it's bid up the highest. The clearing price is higher than other login counts because people can monetize it better.

But then the flip side is, the higher login counts are cheaper. So even if you dont get as good quality, you can still make money (arguably just as easily if you take the right approach).

You're still looking for the offers that best monetize your traffic targeting. Not sure what you're getting at here?

Just reminding everyone that you don't have to run dating offers on POF, that's all. My best POF campaigns have not been dating offers at least. Most of POF's traffic is not the under 50 login count.

Yeah it's about 20% of all traffic.

    Saturation...

Im not sure if all visitors and ad clickers realize that the ads take you to external sites
